The day we can just print a new 10mm socket whenever it gets lost is the day humanity is gonna die out - because the demand for filament is gonna trend to infinity and suddenly no one is making food anymore.

Just got your filament and the whole roll printed extremely well. Cool to come across you on KZfaq. I printed the Aurora rainbow. It's good one the green looks glow in the dark. Very satisfied with your product. I believe I paid 14$ or less. I was attracted to the today shipping not the price. I was worried because it was on the cheaper side. It really does well and holds the 95a standard. Let's hope others follow in price.

great video. I appreciated that you went through the steps of setting this up. Once I saw that you had to update the firmware and needed a well ventilated room... i realized this was not for me. I had looked at updating my firmware a year ago and read too many horror stories where the FDM printer did not work afterwards. I did reach out to Creality to get clarity on which firmware I should be using and the the correct instructions, as their guide was confusing with wrong steps. Their emails to me did not bring any clarity.

Could you share with us your speed settings? In your video those prints look perfect, no seem and no viisble layers, i would like to achieve this type of print quality

These prints are printed 250-300mm/s with Bambu Lab X1C. Other settings are default Bambu Studio settings. Coin bank is printed with Sovol SV01 Pro and print speed 60mm/s.

Interesting response from the unit to power loss. I would suggest you let Qidi know about that. The spindle portion of the side spool holder can be attached directly to the socket in the back.
@3DPrintsBuildsАй бұрын
Thanks for the info. When I did the video I didn't noticed that you can put spool holder spindle directly to the socket in the back.

So... i'm new to KZfaq and just got my first 3D printer. I've been watching a lot of these videos to try to get as much insight as I can into this incredibly addictive hobby. I even managed to get my first video put together... It's not great, but... hey... I've never made one before. So if anyone who reads this could check it out and give me a little support or criticism, i will love you forever! :D

Got one, quick delivery from USA warehouse. Touchpad unresponsive, unable to complete setup. Contacted QIDI support (last weekend), said they would ship replacement part. Still waiting for them to ship part from China as evidently they have no USA parts stock, only printers...
@3DPrintsBuildsАй бұрын
Hi, My touchscreen works fine. That problem could be caused by shipping or the touchscreen was faulty from the factory. They should notice it when testing their printers before packing. I hope you can fix it soon and start printing cool things.
@jojoma4025Ай бұрын
@@3DPrintsBuilds Thanks for response and not censoring me as I thought it might help in case many others had similar trouble. QIDI support keeps telling me it will ship "tomorrow" but every promise they make has not happened and they give excuse of Chinese "festival" which I know is a big deal there which happens every year but that festival has been over for weeks now.

@@jojoma4025 As far as I know, they do have a traditional Chinese festival in early April.

Note: currently this printer does not work with cura slicer, I asked their support and they do not have a profile for Cura, although the specifications for this printer do list Cura as an available slicer... Their qidi slicer seems okay, but I really miss the well thought out interface of Cura.
@3DPrintsBuildsАй бұрын
Qidi slicer is based on Prusa slicer. I mostly use Cura, but Qidi slicer is okay.
@drconflict629Ай бұрын
Just use Orcaslicer. It has a profile for the Q1 and is MUCH better than Cura and even Prusaslicer imo.

Thank you for the review. This printer seems to be a good value. I appreciate you printing multiple filament types and showing the results.
@raymondturpin3265Ай бұрын
Must let it heat up for about 20-30 minutes before leveling because the bed warps up and down while it heats up. After time it will stop moving and you can get an accurate leveling.
@3DPrintsBuildsАй бұрын
Yes, that helps.
@sherryblack9144Ай бұрын
I bought one of these, my question is how do you get it to print what you want? What slicer? What programs will talk to this printer? I have used matter control and designed thing I wanted to print and have printed on my other two printers, but I can't find a driver that talks to this printer.
@3DPrintsBuildsАй бұрын
You can use Cura slicer and add 4 extruders to settings, then you can use it as other printers. Gradient print settings you can choose from the printer interface. Info should be available from user manual.

Hi. Thanks for the sub! I greased it after I assembled it, because it felt dry. You should grease after 500 hours of printing. It's written in manual.
