This concerto fits well with what she is doing playing without orchestra. Because is exchanges between violin solos and orchestral tutti-s/ taking turns. Also she now does not have to follow a conductor she is taking tempos freedoms elongating her phrases This shows us what it means to play along with a person with a baton and without the baton . Good thinking Hilary. Another one that I just thought for solos is the Khachaturian violin concerto.
