I have an issue with my sidewinder x2 but for me its my heatbed heating up uncontrollably. I thought its the mosfet but i swapped stock ruby boards and its the same thing. I upgraded to a manta m4p board from biqu and ro my frustration i get the same freaking thing. That cant happen can it? Is it my power supply or my bed itself thats faulty?!?
@Sgt.Taz3D6 ай бұрын
I would lean towards a faulty heat mat. probably a shorted heater cartridge. just as a test put the hot end on the bed pinouts and turn on. just to make sure it isn't ramping up temp on the current board. That would point to bed mat having a problem.

If that one your talking about will screw into sovols than i wont have to rig the thing. Thanks Sgt

That mosfet on my board went bad- shorted, so it powers the heater cartridge from the moment I turn the power on. I wonder where could I get the signal for this mod since I cannot use that output with the bad mosfet. Thanks
@Sgt.Taz3D Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the mainboard other possible mosfet option is being used. You can try to replace it if your any good at soldering. usually just cheaper and easier to replace the board-add the new external mosfet and enjoy.

Hi, I’m new to printing. The hornet is my first printer and I was wondering: After replacing the stock ptfe with Capricorn, have you noticed any problems with the wires in the all in one cable being damaged? Thank you
@Sgt.Taz3D2 жыл бұрын
No damage-The cabling is pretty solid. just be sure you don't angle the connectors when you reattach the cable. it plugs all the way back in flush and the retaining ring should go on easily.

Bigtreetech own triangle labs and have decently priced bimetal heatbreaks. They make the best Chinese clone parts. I ordered a couple for my ender but I ordered some for my cr10 v3 for a v6 which is out of commission so if the ender gets clogged first I'm gonna change the hb out. The cr10 v3 is an expensive piece of shit. I'm currently fighting with creality over a full printer replacement due to everything having broke on the printer and all the the money I've spent on official creality parts along with the ones they've sent. It's under warranty and I can't get it through their heads thar the unit is defective. I belive the mainboard is gone and the subframe has a bow somewhere in an extrusion. Yet my 200 dollar diy ender 3 works like a champ and the cr10 cost well over 4 times more in parts I've bought and replacents they've sent haha. I sent them my final email today. They tried to buy me off with 100 dollars on an 800 cad printer with additional 15 percent tax and crtouch they told me would work, not compatible, bltouch worked like once, pei bed, springs, meters of cap tube I've bought they've sent me a bunch of parts to replace which I've also had to buy 2 types of crimpers to support the jst and lack of proper electrical terminals from the factory. Haha sorry for the rant

Hey there! at about 10:10 you say "I did put a ..." and I don't understand what you put on the hornet? Could you type it here and possibly link to it? Thanks for doing some nice input on this machine, I got mine cheap and look forward to making it more useful long term. Also do you think the tension lever could be upgraded? Seems everything else is OK for long term. The connector is an aeronautics connector. albeit with the core still in it, so drilling that out would allow cheap after market cables and if lines soldered each end to a male and female cable - you could do a pull with that swapped out. This came from a french KZfaqr who resolved that problem :)
