Very interesting video, the cutout is great to explain. However, PLEASE! upgrade your camera. You could have a ton more followers only with better video / sound.

Very nicely done. If I had a suggestion it would be to leave the close up pictures to stay onscreen a little longer. Other than that, it's very good.

I got all my upgrades up and running... new all metal hot end with kraken style heatbreak, new non-threaded heatsink/hot end mount and new metal tensioning arm. Got everything leveled, good level test and then about a third of the way through a benchy I the nozzle clogged. I thought I remember reading somewhere that with an all metal hot end you need to change your slicer settings, especially the retraction. Do you have any info on that? Thanks!
@Sgt.Taz3D
@Sgt.Taz3D 3 жыл бұрын
You want to keep your retraction at 1mm 25mm/s also a good idea to put a couple of drops of canola oil or similar onto filament to get the all metal seasoned. ( rub on with fingers-just drop or two) All metal isn't the best for regular PLA so I tend to use an oiler (sponge with some canola or similar) when using PLA

Great video, but I'm having problems to know how to know how much to cut the PTFE after installing the all-metal hotend.

winds up being around 27mm need to run from your heatbreak inner ring up thru to the filament guide tube. (there is a ring just below the prongs that holds PTFE from shifting)

Hello sir, thank you very much for that video. After hours of reading here is the information I came up with and this is what I am looking forward to do. The Artillery Genius comes with a Titan Style extruder and a Volcano Style Hot End. Up till now, I have searched everywhere to know if there is a heat sink that comes with it but I think it only runs on PTFE tubing. I would like to print PLA and PTEG miniatures and fonctional prints with the best quality details. I am looking forward to do the following upgrades to my Genius. BMG Extruder Clone Dual Drive Bowden E3DV6 HeatSink - 1.75mm Universal (With Bowden Fitting) Capricorn Bowden tubing Slice engeniring Bowden Copperhead heat break. And some good quality Volcano nozzles 0.2 to 1 etc I have a stock artilery genius. It does a great job. But I want to get some extra details but mostly, I'd like to have fun and learn. Here are my questions. Am I right to say there is no stock heat sink on the Genius? Not only I can't see it but I saw an online video of 3d printing nerd that said that the X1 doesnt have one in his demonstration. Does the genius have a smoothed or threaded Heatbreak? Do I need to purchase better quality fans? Do I need to print any parts before installing anything? Are those upgrades compatible? Is there anything I have missed or that I have wrong? If so, is there any guides that you could recommend? I haven't dissassembled anything yet and I am still reading and asking questions. Thx so much for your answer.

After more research, I need a smooth heatbreak so the coperhead one won't work unless I get a a V6 heatsink!
@Sgt.Taz3D
@Sgt.Taz3D 4 жыл бұрын
@@biscotilleaubeurre8406 Uses a kraken style heatbreak , that is held in place by 2 grub screws located behind the heatsink and fan. You would want an all metal one if your going to be using higher temp materials for a long period. You will still need a shorter run of PTFE tubing on the stock titan setup which runs from the top of the all metal up thru the filament guide that is just below the main gear.

I have a v4 and there is only one grub screw holding in the heat break. The one grub screw galled the heat break so bad I can’t get it out.

M3 × 8, hexagon socket, black, grade 10.9 is the size. I'd suggest when you can drill it out and replace use a slightly smaller drill bit and go slow. www.fulament.com carries replacements

What size would I need to shorten the PTFE tube to?
@Sgt.Taz3D
@Sgt.Taz3D 4 жыл бұрын
If your asking for an all metal hot end it winds up being about 27mm. It can vary depending on your nozzle/heatbreak setup so it needs to be inside the top ring of the heatbreak and up into the filament guide (Black or white) just below the 2 prongs.

You do a good job of providing info, but unfortunately you really see crap being to close to the video and that pain in the ass of providing that lower strip that blocks your screen with the boarder at the bottom. Thanks for the info. Later.

Thank god for subtitles incorporated by youtube, I was going crazy trying to find out where the goddamn short was coming from to get rid of the wretched sound. Turns out to be the horse manure for audio from the dreadfully overexposed ranting of whatever this video was supposed to be. I suggest that you go over your content (like publishers do with proofreading) before posting it for others to see, there was a good concept for information to be passed along to those who need the extra hand. But 15 seconds in I'm already turned off and searching elsewhere due to the piss poor production. Not trying to be a dick, just hypercritical since I hold myself to the same type of standards and thrive off of constructive criticism but that's the end of my rant, hope you stay healthy, stay safe, and stay printing!!

Thanks for being hypercritical, been trying to sort out the audio issues. that I apologize for. since this is a hobby I try my best to get the information out and edit what I can. Maybe when I get youtube famous I can hire an editor and script writer ;)
