If I am correct the frequency of sales are controlled by the platform and Steam is liely the most lenient allowing more sales per year. The unified FX and M launcher probably won't happen because they are very different game. I'd love a unified leaderboard so you can see your scores in both games but Pinball M and Pinball FX are just too different for a unified launcher to work but if you're talking about a button that says "I'd like to load the other game" that would be decent but you're still dealing with the load times as the game launches.

I've been lurking in the discord and chatting with the game's developer Matt on occasion and I feel like by the end of the year the game will be even better with much better camera controls and several other updates he's keeping close to his chest so they can be a surprise. Right now he's over the moon at his 98% positive rating on steam and I'm working on a whole series of first impressions on smaller, inexpensive fantastic experiences across a variety of genres and I will very likely use Dystopika to craft unique intros for all of those videos in the style of the intro to Johnny Quest: the Real Adventures flying through the various titles that make up the series to end on the thumbnail for the currently playing video (I have most of the videos written but I just thought of this intro, so I'm kind of workshopping it in my reply here). At any rate I feel like Dystopika is going to be worth paying attention to for a while and I can already see in the negative reviews on steam are missing a huge aspect of the game which is the personalization so I will be returning with a video to address those negative reviews with my own counterpoints.

I've been banging my head against Star Trek TNG and Star Wars Episode V. Two of the most frustrating tables I've run into so far but also two I love to play.

Sure, if you want the whole thing to die. Pinball FX is a live service, it requires upkeep which generates expenses. No income = no game and no new tables. Support the the things you want to exist.

There are just too many examples to count. Square finally wised up and stopped making their games exclusive to PlayStation because weirdly limiting your ability to sell a game to only people who also own a PS5 seemed to hurt their sales. Imagine that.

Pinball M is Mature rated meaning you can expect blood, gore and curse words. This is a better platform for games like Chucky's Pinball and Texas Chainsaw Massacre which wouldn't be quite right on a T rated game. It is newer and has different features like individual play corners for each table that can be upgraded cosmetically by playing challenges and you can earn an in-game only currency to buy cosmetics like different flippers and balls. There is even a leveling system per table that will open new cosmetics to earn. The free table on M is Wrath of the Elder Gods Directors Cut which has significant visual upgrades and is a really good example of the differences in the games since the table also appears on FX.

Here's the list of the ones I've done so far, I just started doing this not too long ago. I have not done either of those tables yet but they are coming and probably sooner rather than later since one of the other people I'm doing a podcast with is planning on buying all the Williams tables next sale. I really haven't messed with Indiana Jones much and I love the Getaway but I have no clue what's happening on the table yet, I just like hitting the loop. Currently I'm finishing up Super League Football which should be out tomorrow. I'm still scripting Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I had started scripting the videos for the Star Wars Episode 4 pack mostly because I hit top 20 on Masters of the Force and I will probably start working my way through the Williams Collection because I love Attack from Mars, Medieval Madness and Theatre of Magic but I know how to play those so I might prioritize the tables I don't already know since research is kind of fun and most of the reason I started doing this was to learn how the tables worked. It's so fun. I think I put in the the shot where I hit KITT with the ball while he's pulling into FLAG on the back of the table but I wasn't filming the 3 times I managed to sneak up the ramp while Kitt was still turning to jump. You get absolutely nothing extra for doing this but it's sooooooo cool.

FX3 is a totally different game engine so I do not expect them to make any new tables for it. I have heard FX looks worse than FX3 on Xbox Series X. I play on PC and I think it looks fantastic. Pinball FX has 3 free tables and you can still claim the Super League Football table on PC right now making it a 4th free table. I will be hosting weekly Pinball FX tournaments soon as part of a podcast I'm hosting so there are 2 good reasons to download FX, there are 2 other free tables included with the base game and it's cross platform so you would be able to join those tournaments when they start happening. I believe there are 3 more Williams tables coming at the end of the year too for Pinball FX.

@@JeffersonRedeyes but I only have a Xbox and don't like PC's, I've always been a console fan 😁. I've never been a big pinball fan but played a couple at places growing up to pass the time and was hoping just to play these only. I tried some Zen ones when I owned either the xbox 360 or PS4 and I really didn't like them, but I love the Fishtales game (because I remember playing this one a few times as a kid) and im sure I would enjoy the other real life ones also. I was going through the different ones on Xbox and they also have one called Stern Pinball. It doesn't look too good and the graphics aren't good but it has another 2 games I remember, The Last Action Hero and ACDC. Does FX have the licence for these games by anychance? Also, if you are on PC, why don't you just play Visual pinball? I heard this is a really good emulator and thst way can play any real life game. I was searching for a way to play Indiana Jones pinball and came across this.

@@johnmiceter I haven't messed around with Visual Pinball at all but it has been recommended to me. I just don't feel like figuring out how it works just now. Pinball FX does not have any Stern Tables. It looks like Farsight Studios has those licenses BUT Farsight used to have the Williams licenses for Pinball Arcade before they wound up moving those tables to Pinball FX so it may be possible Stern might eventually move over too. Pinball Arcade runs terribly on my PC and I'm pretty sure Stern Pinball did too. Zaccaria has their own pinball platform too and that one actually runs decently so that's where you'll find those tables.

@@JeffersonRedeyes ok thanks for that. If I had a PC I reckon I would try that visual pinball that way I could have all the games I like in one, but being a emulator, maybe you get glitches. But overall being on Xbox, you would recommend FX Pinball and not FX3? I looked and couldn't even see Adams Family on that one, but Getaway and Indiana Jones are both on fx3.

@@johnmiceter Visual Pinball is not like a video game, it's a tool like a video editor and it needs to be configured and you need to work a lot harder to get it to do what you want. It's not like buying a DLC for Pinball FX. There are a number of real world tables I want to look at but there is something like 140 unique tables across FX3, FX and Pinball M and I have barely played half of them. Eventually the new podcast I'm starting will talk more about physical tables like the Godzilla table one of the other hosts has access to and I will want to learn how to use Visual Pinball so I can experience those tables we're talking about but I have more tables than I can handle at the moment and I haven't even played Xenotilt or Demon's Tilt in months and I absolutely love those games. FX has Adams Family, Getaway and Indiana Jones. I cannot make a recommendation on FX vs FX3 on Xbox because I do not have a console, all I know about the console versions comes from comments on my pinball videos.

I love DS9 and that carries over to the table though I agree the trek tables could have been better. Weirdly I like the kelvin table the most in that pack because of the modes on top of modes on top of modes. I do enjoy having a Sisko statue in my game room though. I'll probably get around to watching BSG soon. I just watched the Netflix Texas Chainsaw Massacre that the table is based off of and it was not good. I also just finished rewatching Spawn of Chucky and Pacific Rim with my Monday movie night group. I'm mostly watching Xena in the background while I do other things because I want to actually pay attention to BSG when I do watch it. I've seen All of Trek except for half of Discovery, my tolerance for pain goes only so far. I've also watched Lexx, all of Babylon 5, Farscape and Most Stargate series so I would have gotten back around to BSG eventually and the table is a really good reason to revisit that series. I like the BSG table way more than I thought but I like Xena a little more and Knight Rider is my favorite of the pack but they are all fantastic. The other table reviews are almost finished so look for those over the next few days.

@@JeffersonRedeyes I have a feeling I'll grow to like the Trek tables more as I put more time in to them. I was just so excited for a DS9 table and I was pretty disappointed by one of the voice acting choices. The acting itself is fine but the voice sounds more like Conan O'Brien than Chief O'Brien. That's on Zen for their choice of VA, the VA probably did the best they could with the job they were given. I never understood the hate for actors for accepting a job. I never was able to get into Babylon 5, something about those doors just triggers me. Loved Farscape but I never saw the last season due to licensing issues. There was no way to buy the final season. It's probably streaming somewhere now though. So sad that we will never get a DS9 or Voyager remaster.

@@Olaf-Lingen2023 I have all the DLC I just get busy with other stuff like Dragon Quest 11 which I just finished after 100 hours and Lately I've gotten really into Pinball FX and making table guides which takes forever but I'm in the top 1% of players on many of the tables I've played and I have a group to compete with now which makes Pinball FX way more fun; the same guys who are going to be playing Mechwarrior with me soon actually.

My expertise begins and ends on PC but given the current state of things this is my advice. Play what feels right, don't invest in tables if the console version has issues. I would recommend next time you're looking for a console get a PC instead. A lot more console exclusives are moving to PC, there are more frequent sales and a PC is just so much more versatile (I use it to edit my videos) and it's easier to mod games to get more value out of them. Whatever extra you wind up paying for a PC you will make up for in game discounts and the next generation Xbox will very likely just be a custom PC anyway, that feels like the direction Microsoft is heading. I love the game on PC and it's running smooth. I'm crushing high scores lately and I just hit the Wizard Mode on Arabian Nights in a tournament for FX and that's the big reason I would still recommend getting FX on console because pinball is inherently social and you might want to play tournaments being hosted on that version of the game but that would still require investing money in tables you think don't look as good on console. Since FX is the latest version of the game it is getting updates so there is a chance that the graphics might improve at least.

First off, that's my normal reading voice. I stream live so you can tell it's not far off from my normal voice but I script and I speak differently when reading as does literally everyone else ever. I'm not a voice actor, I couldn't change my vocals very much even if I was trying to but my focus is mainly on enunciating so I can be clearly understood clearly over the background sounds in the video and not stuttering or coughing because I have terrible sinuses which might be a contributing factor to whatever you call a "youtube voice" but the fact is that most of my videos have edits mid sentence and are stitched together in odd places between words because of a cough and what people call a KZfaq voice is often the result of reading a script which will very understandably change a person's speaking cadence because it's a totally different activity from holding a conversation which is what I do live when interacting with chat. One is "read and and recite" action, the other is a "read and respond" action which are fundamentally different activities. Second, statistically speaking some of my audience are children. I don't know why the voice I speak with would be any more or less appealing to children because from my understanding they tend to be drawn to higher pitched vocals like on SpongeBob or My Little pony which are actually trying to appeal to children. I don't even particularly like being around children, the demographic I'm aiming for is 25 and older and I'm not exactly making Fortnite and Minecraft videos here; I'm making videos and tutorials about a hobby that was already old when I was a kid but I expect there might be some appeal to some younger individuals who discovered the hobby but that's an outlier and not the core demographic. At any rate clearly communicating is first and foremost on my mind but in the future I'll try to mumble a bit more just for you.

I have seen people complain about Super League Football which was a free table and is a really good one too. It has some bugs that's I've run into but still... free table.

If you can't tell the difference between FX and FX3 you might be playing in normal mode which mimics the physics of FX3. Set a table to realistic physics and it's a whole new ball game... so to speak. I am actually going to demonstrate this in my Xena and Pacific Rim table guides because both tables have very anemic left orbit shots if you're playing in normal physics but the ball rolls straight up the ramps smooth as can be with realistic physics and the ball almost never gets rejected from the ramp. Pinball FX can mimic FX3's physics; but FX3 can't mimic FX's physics and I can notice an immediate and very welcome change to the ball movement when I use realistic physics.
