At 16:30 i'm pretty sure Thorin is talking about JJonak, before JJkonak there was also Ryujehong who was an incredible Ana player.

maui is insane, with HALLZERK you know what you're getting? one map he will miss 15 easy shots in a row, singlehandedly losing it and then on the next map he'll get 30+ kills including several 1vX clutches. to even bring hallzerk up is insane. also torszi is hardly a better example. he had looong droughts already where he was playing poorly for several events in a row.

I respect Thorin's opinion but Xyp9x consistently put up great numbers every other game rather 1 in 15 tournaments and lets forget. MR12 has inflated stats compared to MR16. Xyp was putting great numbers 2016-2019. (I went through his stats from 2016-19 on HLTV) I do agree Jimpphat is revolutionizing Support/Anchor position by being super aggressive while being Calculative and he is the 1st Anchor/Support Superstar in CS2 but in all of CS. it has to be Xyp9x 1st then you can put whosoever want to put next.

Counter strafing with W and S is actually unchanged because you could never overlap inputs with those two keys since you're using the same finger for both. Nulls are very strong only because they remove the human error of overlapping inputs meaning as long as you tap the opposite movement key you will always 100% get a frame perfect counter strafe. If this should be considered cheating is debatable considering Valve probably never intended counter strafing to be reliant on keyboard delay and stuff anyway. What speaks for the last point is the fact that Valve allows this.

why we talking about mongolz "being too high", when they are always having double digit games vs any top team in every tournament since like half a year almost. always exciting games. instead talk about how spirit is still rank 3, while donk and the team is lately putting out rather mediocre performances.

Why snap tap is cheating is so easy to understand. It boils down to; the keyboard deactivates a switch for you. Thats it. Nothing to do with skill. Its a hardware script. It lowers the skill ceiling.

Reddit's overreaction to EWC results were indeed crazy. From "G2's snax/new roster critisisms COMPLETELY rebuked" to "Navi was always the best team look at them just winning world championships this year". While the tournament itself had some of the worst cs played in it. Literally every top4 team just wasn't ready at all, they all looked like they just got out of bed in the games where they got knocked out in. That should tell you something, if top4 teams can't be arsed to power up for it even just a bit. On the contrary it was just a b1t who powered up for this.

The shoryuken is a pretty good analogy, in Street Fighter 6 there are 1 button shoryukens but if you choose to use them, you get a damage penalty by 20% ish and you lose some of the basic moves

"Counter strafing is such an essential part of this game", The question sould then be: why is it essential, how does it improve the game. And then the follow up: does this floor raising detract from the counter-strafing additions at all?

I'm nothing if not consistent but I'm always amazed that people don't mention NAF who plays ALL the same positions as Jimpphat and puts up better numbers against the same opponents and always goes up a level in arena. And yes this is in CS2 with Liquid being in a mess. And has tournament MVPs playing this role, at age 21 and this was after Taco left. (He also had MVP at 19 but that was from Star Roles) Not to take away from Jimpphat who is 10 years NAF's junior, just to point out that he is not entirely unique in his role.

1:09:40 I strong disagree with KINGT here: Why do people fight for those players? Because they are fans of these players. I would never want Navi to cut b1t. Unless he becomes a tier 2 or even tier 3 player, I want him to stay. That's because I am fan of his, I loved watching him in 2021 up until now. I, as a Navi fan, am fan of the players + Coach not necessarily of the organisation. If the entire Navi lineup would switch to let's say Dignitas, I would become a Dignitas fan. Would acquiring someone who's 10% better/more consistant than b1t make Navi better? Probably. But I personally would lose interest in the team if it's just some random Danish, Swedish or whatever guy joining. It already hurt to see s1mple, electronic, Perfecto and Boombl4 go. I would rather take a Navi that's a 6/10 but with players I like than a 10/10 Navi with players I don't care about. I get it, as an analyst, commentator or journalist you are not a fan of a certain team, thus making you not caring about the indiviual players. But I, as a fan, do care about the players.
