Even though I think starting from Sky is the best way, going with the start of a different arc as you did is still a good option. Probably, right now, the best way to get to know this series is through Daybreak, if only just because the demo exists.

Is there any series that has a right way they should be played? Okay maybe the .hack IMOQ series that I’ve started as the save file carries through 😂 either way, play games and enjoy them 😊

I started with Cold Steel 1 when i I saw someone stream the game on Twitch. Then i beat all the cold steel games and went back to play the sky games, then the Crossbell games and finally Reverie a couple of months ago, all caught up to Daybreak. I would say, start with any arc, and if you want to learn more about the world and certain characters, then go back. Or look up summarys if you dont have lots of time to spend.

For me I began with trails in the sky 1 before Trails in the Sky SC had released. Got the PC version and played through it and this was back in the day before they patched in the fast forward feature into the game. It's a great series overall though nobody should really stress out that much about where to begin. Just find a story arc and begin the first game of that arc and if you like it then play the prior games of the series. Only thing I'd say is be careful about starting second game of story arc like Trails of Cold Steel 2 in the Cold Steel series instead of beginning with Cold Steel 1 1 cause Cold Steel 2 will spoil the end of Cold Steel 1

Short answer....Yes. Real answer is if you are looking for powerful next gen consoles then no but, if you are looking for casual less expensive play that covers multiple generation of gaming then yes. The inferior quality of their controllers is a bummer, I got a switch pro controller and it had a ton of stick drift. To a point where I can't use it now. Too bad it's the only one that allows Headset capability while plugged in. They dropped the ball on the that portion.

I definitely think the Switch is the greatest console made thus far! I actually really love the Joycons, and I love the different array of colours and special editions we've gotten for them. The game library is insane as well, especially with JRPGs.

Agreed on the Joy-Cons; just not a fan, personally, but I'm so thankful for the Pro controller as it's fantastic. The Switch library has been so incredible and they've done such an amazing job ensuring there's something for everybody. The Switch has absolutely become Lady Laci's all-time favorite console, FINALLY beating out the Sega Genesis if you can believe it!

WTF Joey, I'm gonna have to unsubscribe right now 😂 Just kidding I agree with a lot of what you said, It certainly has a fantastic library, Through its first party games A unique identity Which stands apart from Xbox and PlayStation And the only real issues I have With it are the joyless cons , How Nintendo never reduces its first party games In price even if they've been out for years, It certainly is up there as one of the best Ever But for me I couldn't pick a favorite as I love so many of them, Fantastic video Joey and great take, I hope it's successor gives me the ability to Capture, Record, Edit and upload videos directly to KZfaq like I can from my playstation

With all of the JRPGs it feels like a renaissance of the SNES! I grew up with the N64 and GameCube but none of the consoles had many RPGs sadly.

A very overall amazing console with a strong ass line up of games, and as we can see in lifetime sales, arguably one of the all time top selling consoles…..IN THE WORLD

The Switch has a great lineup of games, but it's hard to deny Joycon drift, a far from perfect online service and somewhat underpowered hardware are a drawback. I can mostly ignore those faults and play some great games - even the Direct proved that there's more to come when I mostly thought there wasn't.

I have a confession and that is that I've only played the very first Legend of Zelda on the NES. I've never played any other game in the franchise, so this was fun to go through and see what lies ahead for me. I do own Wind Waker and Twilight Princess but I need to add the others into my collection. This was a fun video and I loved hearing your thoughts on a franchise I have very little knowledge or experience in.

As someone without a switch, the most exciting parts for me were the Capcom pack and the dragon quest games. I loved the Metroid prime trilogy so I hope 4 holds up to those games!

All the Nintendo stuff was great. I just wish it took up a lot more than just 20% of the direct. Lol Metroid Prime 4 looks absolutely amazing though.

Expecting that the final months of the Switch were going to be sort of quiet, this Direct was better than I was expecting. If there's any disappointment, it was that I was expecting a bit too much from Star Fox rumours. But the Mario themed games, with of course Zelda and Metroid are my picks, with hon mentions to the Dragon Quest games once I get more into that series.

I utterly loved this one. Thought the cast were great, the win screen banter was funny and there was so much to find and do. Wasn't a fan of the ability score based battling which I felt slowed it down too much but I want to go back to it. I haven't finished the future after-story yet either.
