Incredible film 🔥 really inspiring stuff…. Got a few shorter (50-60km) runs lined up for next few weeks but been looking for a slightly longer route to take on later in the summer… this looks like the one! Thanks! Just stumbled across your page and loving the content you’re putting out! Maybe see you out on the trails 👍🏼

I'd like to see a race where with every 30k+ there is an aidstation with better food than before, starting with water and old bread, ending with sushi and lobster made by a star-chef and every 12hours a better shelter, starting with a blanket on the floor ending with a spa and a king-sized bed. But honestly, I have no idea how anyone can get out of bed after running for 33hours without sleep.

I love the idea of progressively better aid stations. But I’d probably never want to leave the last one!

My wife and I were in Grindelwald for several days last July, and left just 2 days before the race. We hiked most of the Eiger 51 trails and watching this brought back such great memories. Such a beautiful place. I would love to go back and run this sometime. Thanks for sharing the beauty and the struggle of it.

As a HEMS medic, by virtue of what you described that was undeniably heat stroke. Wear that badge with pride, it takes a special character to push their body to that point.

Rookie here, video popped up as a recommendation on YT, obviously. Top quality content, world class scenery, and both Jeff & Audree captured what Jim Mckay stated decade's ago: " the human drama of athletic competition ". Thank you.

Funny to See the different approach that you took. Did the W in 2013 and wanted to self supply every thing. So big heavy Backpack and every thing for shelter etc.. There are no words to describe the pure nature force of the Winds down There. Even with 20+kg of Backpack and trekking poles you can barely stand on your feet. Totaly trusting on others to Do the O is pretty nervewereckinh to me. Let us See more videos like this.

That was so beautiful! I knew what was coming but was still wishing a different outcome. I do think as hard as that decision was, it was a good call. Well done!

Hi Jeff, thanks for giving a well balanced view and opinion on this. Curious if your feelings have changed at all in this time? Have you heard of when/if the "new" run by Gary Robbins will go ahead? You participate in other UTMB races - did this whole fiasco impact your decision to continue to do so? Just trying to gain more info on everything, as I decide whether or not to partake in the Whistler UTMB (which is likely not) Thanks!
@JeffPelletier3 күн бұрын
We haven’t participated in a UTMB race since last summer, but definitely will again in the future. But not the Whistler race. It’s looking good for Gary’s race for 2025 💪

What's your technique to build up and protect your knee and hip joints for such crazy mileage?

I guess the key is to build volume slowly and consistently over years.

Way to go Audrey! it sucks to bow out or DNF, for sure. To call it quits and take care of an injury, takes strength, discipline and good head on your shoulders. Looking forward to both of your videos. Take care you two.

I really enjoyed that you too the time to go everything, it was fascinating to listen too. I think my main takeaway is don't race for the aid stations.
