I'm so glad you didn't figure out the twist. Some other reactors did and its not as satisfying of a reaction. I didn't see it coming either, neither did my friends when I had them watch it. The looks on their faces were hilarious. I went into this blind not expecting to like it as much as I did. I loved that it referenced and was influenced by many other movies including Clueless (school uniforms), Scream (water fountain) and 10 Things I Hate About You (paint throwing scene). I loved that Sarah was cast in this, it was such a nice surprise. All around it was crazy entertaining and I wish I could erase it from my brain to watch it again.

I’m going to be honest. I’m a little disappointed hearing and seeing you’re possibly not gonna watch seven. I just discovered these reactions and I hate it when people get this far into a franchise only to decide not to watch the next one. It seems like you really enjoyed the original characters and storylines that went on for four films and over 15 years before Melissa Barrera popped on the scene only two years ago. Don’t get me wrong. I loved Melissa‘s story in these last two films and I was in fact looking forward to seeing a third one but scream isn’t Melissa‘s story. Neve is the one who started this franchise in 1996 with Kevin Williamson, and the fact that she’s returning as the main star, and Kevin is returning to direct the franchise he wrote in the first place is why any person that enjoyed the first four screams should be returning to watch the seventh one. We don’t have to agree with why Melissa exited the franchise but it’s a lot more complicated also than a lot of people seem to want to get into. It’s not just the opinions that she had. It was the way that she kind of expressed them in a couple of her stories and I don’t want to get too into it here, but she wouldn’t even be fired if the only thing she said was free Palestine and I’m just gonna leave it at that. I really hope you change your mind and you do wind up watching scream seven.

Jennifer Kaytin Robinson had previously been the creator of a great but tragically cancelled show called Sweet/Vicious. The show was about two girls becoming vigilantes to punish people who had gotten away with different forms of sexual assault on a college campus. The show had a similar feel to this movie and one of the stars of the show was actually in the movie as the friend of the girl was framed for cocaine possession that kept insisting that her friend was innocent. I will never not take an opportunity to bring more attention of Sweet/Vicious.

Amazing reaction to the first season!! While my heart does break for Wilhelm and Simon to be outed and having to take a break, I am proud that Simon is trying to support Wilhelm but is putting his happiness first. Wilhelm does love Simon, but he does need to figure out what he wants and to do it for his own benefit and no one else’s. Felice is definitely the MVP of this season for investing to solve the leak to help Sara, Simon, and Wilhelm; she’s really a true friend. While I didn’t care how Sara used blackmail to obtain her chance to remain at the school, I do understand why she did it. I’m also aware of her being neurodivergent, and I do believe regardless she does love her brother and was sympathetic to his predicament which is why I give her grace. August might be jealous and insecure with his own dilemmas, but he still had no right to out Wilhelm and Simon especially after Wilhelm helped with his financial situation. As for the Queen, I get that she’s trying to do what’s best for the monarchy while trying to grieve for Erik’s death. However she should have been a better mother for Wilhelm and put his happiness first as he is still young and should have the chance to still be a kid at least before he is of age to succeed. August and the Queen have my sympathy but not my forgiveness. 🧑🏻‍🦰🧑🏻‍🦱👑💔🇸🇪🏳️‍🌈🩷💜💙

GCSEs are exams you take at the end of year 11, which is equivalent to American 10th Grade. If you are in Year 10 or 11, you are in your GCSE years, so both Charlie and Nick are and Nick is taking his GCSE exams this year. The last 2 years of American high school are your A Levels when you are in the UK.

I really have been enjoying your reactions to this series it’s so relatable to how I felt the first time I watched it. I can’t wait to see how you react to what is to come. As for Rosh and Ayub, I love them, I think they are great friends to Simon. A lot people don’t agree with some of the advice and stances they take but if you look at it from their perspective, as Simon’s friends, they always tell him what they think is best for him or they call him out when they see him doing things against his character and I think those are the best kind of friends you can have, “they are real ones” as the kids say. As for the show in general I personally like it better than Heartstopper or Euphoria because it feels much more grounded and real to me than those shows. The characters may find themselves in extreme situations because of the royalty factor but the characters and their behaviors feel very authentic. They do things that I would do or I people I know would do. Anyway, I look forward to watching your reaction to season 2
