It's so interesting to see how opinions on X1 - X3 are mostly similar. Some variance, but only so much. While X4 - X8 vary wildly, with opinions on each game varying from 'best in the series' to 'worst in the series'

It's not time line but cool. If you put the pt.2 (sonic and knuckles) in than put sonic two on top you can use knuckles in the sonic two game.

i seem to recall only getting this game because it was on sale down from 50 bucks to like, 17 bucks or something at whatever store, and the parent accepted my pleas to acquire this mega man game for me. i played the hell out of this one too, but it didn't replace 4 in my heart. the speed of the enemies seems a bit faster than prior game, but it didn't make it harder...

MM6 was a feature in the first Nintendo Power i ever had. I was on the lower income end of things growing up,so i had to make my NES stretch while enjoying SNES at the houses of others. While i had rented 4 and 5 and 1, MM6 was, and has always been, my go to, the mega men I wanted to play

It was a ok game on the psp but playing on ps5 it is horrible gameplay worse than jack 2 which is more fun to play but levels are harder but in the psp game there is no dark jak anymore it gone and the weapons are ok not great and there no piece maker weapon sucks.

I'll admit the voice acting in the second game was the worst in the series but anybody who didn't like the gameplay itself was just crap at combat. Coming from someone who's beat it 5 times, get good guys, dont complain about a game you can't play well.

I honestly hate it when people get rid of old stuff on their channel cause they are ashamed of it. I like seeing their humble beginnings and seeing them improve little by little. It makes them seen so relatable that way. But alas.

Mega Man 6 is the best Mega Man ever. And your video is as great because it acknowledges in detail almost everything that makes it great. Two exceptions. First: Power suit MM can connect a jab that will send enemies _flying backwards so fast they die upon colliding._ And second: no mention of the music?? Plant Man's theme is one of the best compositions I've heard in my life, Mr. X's theme is fittingly sorrowful for a last hurrah, Flame Man and Tomahawk Man's were very fitting with it's arabesque progressions and marching snare beat respectively. Centaur Man's was mellow and sweet for ancient ruins, and the ending did what I loved most about the finales in Sonic music: a kebab with all the themes in a single roll. It's not a stroke but an entire goddamn calligraphy book of GENIUS. Magnificent job!

The bosses and music are great. The mega buster is crazy awesome. It's further down my list, but it's far better than 7 and 4.

The second trilogy (4-5-6) had some of the best NES games that get overlooked only because they're more of the same, a silly reason, especially decades removed as we are now. I collect SEGA Genesis cartridges and I'm really looking forward to Mega Man Sequel Wars, the fan made remake of 4-5-6 in the style of Wily Wars.

My aunt bought me megaman 1 on nes. I had no idea wtf it was but when i played it i thought it was really fun and super hard. Never could beat the yellow guy at the end until i grew up.

I remember Toys R Us had a bunch of copies of Mega Man 6, Star Tropics and many others on a clearance shelf. I picked it up for about $9 at the time when they was about 9 or 10 years old. Good times.

I was born in '89. All the NES stuff, we got at discount, and so I had a big library of games to play that were brand spankin' new to me and my younger siblings. I didn't even know the SNES and other consoles existed for a while!

Supplementary to the weapon commentary already in the video: -Wind Man's weapon will pass through Flame Man's fire barriers. -Similarly, the Yamato Spear goes through Knight Man's shield. Also some enemy shields. -Of all weapons, they chose the Blizzard to be the "indestructible enemy killer." The daintiest looking weapon. They're no Super Arrow or "turn the slide into an attack" but MM6 was a half-step towards the MMX games in weapon function.

RE: the arm cannon upgrade from Zero. In the PSP remake game Maverick Hunter X, Zero's arm cannon actually is different, as it fires a larger version of X's charge shot for it's final stage unlike the pink snakes X's does. This makes it do more damage to bosses, but is perhaps less effective on regular enemies. Obviously you can't have both arm cannon upgrades, and in that version the Vile boss fight is in Sigma Palace 3, meaning you have to go basically the entire game without the arm cannon upgrade to get it. Side note, the game is also re-designed, especially Sigma Palace, because the dash boots are no longer a mandatory upgrade. I imagine they made this change so that when playing as Vile (who can't dash) both characters can clear the levels.

I remember getting this game in early 95, well after we were deep into snes gaming. Regardless, we were happy to jump right back into the good ol NES

Capcom actually printed a small run of Megaman 6 before they decided to cancel the US release. They ended up shipping all the copies from this limited run to South America, where a Brazilian company called Playtronic “remanufactured” them. Essentially, they repackaged the game in a Brazilian box, and put a new label on the front and back of the game. Some of the original copies of the game never got reprocessed though, that’s why you occasionally see a Megaman 6 with a purple border on the label. This was the “published by Capcom” version that never actually got published

Mega Man 3 was always my favorite until 5. Don't get me wrong I liked 4 but it was five that officially solidified the mega buster and you can't beat that in my opinion.

I hope the switch 2 gets a new sonic riders game. I'd never buy sonic and all starts racing transformed but I'd buy a sonic riders game in a heartbeat.

This game... This game has a place in my heart. I discovered Megaman X thanks to it. Unlocking the Hadoken as X, and fighting both X and Zero as Vile.... What a game. What... A masterpiece. I loved it.

im gonna be 25 this year and I still consider Sly 2 my favorite video game off all time. because that's the one I have the most memories off.

i never beat ice man stage so I don't see myself ever beating mega man 1. I've seen people do the entire stage in 2 mins while I spent many hours without even getting to the boss like wtf

13:25 And that is why the PS2 Anniversary Collection is superior. That game allows you to use L1+R1 to swap weapons and either L2 or R2 to change Rush Forms and other gimmicks in MM4, MM5, and MM6. Also, the Complete Works OST slaps hard! I will never forgive the Legacy Collections for omitting these two QoL upgrades.

I remembered my cousin had just bought the top loader NES and he rented Mega Man 6. I didn't play Mega Man 5 and 7 until a decade later on emulation.

Joel's SINGLE Mistake, was lying to Ellie. He should have told her EVERYTHING that happened, from the moment they got out of that tunnel. All the recordings of the truth, them planning on killing her AND Joel, EVERYTHING! I fucking HATED that after all this time, the writers wouldn't let Joel open up to Ellie and tell her the truth.

There is a debug feature left in the game, if you hold down RIGHT on controller 2 you can jump very high.
