Why is their decedent packets in the middle of the spool? Isn’t it already in there like Bambu? Also where is the print head cover?
@kevin.3D
@kevin.3D 16 сағат бұрын
@@97JoMiller this is a pre production model so the development team is always using it. They don’t need a print head cover so they leave it off. They also left desiccant packets in the spool. But there are compartments for desiccant in the unit itself.

hey man, beacuse I also own this exact ender and I also want to change the filament. Can I also use the "retract" filament option in the settings for the same purpose? or its just better to replace the filament the same way you did in the video>
@kevin.3D
@kevin.3D 4 күн бұрын
yes of course you can use the retract and extrude feature on the printer to change filament - thats no problem. The reason we choose this way is that the nozzle cools down after you retract and then you have to wait for it to heat up again to extrude....so it takes a little longer. That's all. How do you like your SE? I have two of them and I love them - very reliable for me.
@GarlicEnjoyer
@GarlicEnjoyer 4 күн бұрын
@@kevin.3D I also didn't have any big problems and it prints PLA mostly great.. exept the last layer For some reason it seems that it over extrudes on top, but weird is that the bottom mostly is well made, but on small parts you can even see that first layer isn't so tightly put together beacuse you can see small spaces between layers

So the reviewers are saying that that box is not a dehumidifier and that 50% humidity reading you have is basically for no reason if it’s not a dehumidifier. It has a heater, therefore like a dehumidifier?

@@kevin.3D well that seems very misleading and perhaps intentionally misleading to pretend to have a feature that they do not. That makes me worry that they rushed this to market and it is junk. I already know their customer support is bad even their instructions to update firmware is incorrect and will result in a non-functioning machine. I’ve solved that and since learned how to do firmware install correctly, but this is very bad for Corey. The machine looks nice, but I now suspect that it was made to look nice and not made to work well

@kevin.3D
@kevin.3D 14 күн бұрын
to be perfectly honest with you, I have never used any other printer except Creality. I don't compare printers since I work at Creality, I only use our machines all of the time. I am also new to 3d printing, been doing it for just one year and the Creality machines (especially the K series) and very beginner-friendly. There is no set-up required, almost completely ready to go out of the box. The K2Plus is our newest, greatest machine and the print size is the part that I am most excited about. Also, Creality makes their machines open-source so if you are interested in the software side, this is a huge advantage.

I ended up with an x1c. I got so fed up one day with failures that I abandoned my ender3. I haven’t even turned it on since the x1c arrived. On the x1c I had 3 print failures in about a hundred prints. All 3 failures were from bed adhesion. 1 of the failures was detected by the camera as a spaghetti failure. I had some massive prints, filament runout, ams, no issues anywhere. No bed leveling, no feeding, no nozzle failures, no clogged hot ends, or extruder issues… its all solved on bambu.

Why is the fan shroud always off?
@kevin.3D
@kevin.3D 15 күн бұрын
there is no fan built into the shroud on the K2 so it serves no function other than looks. These videos are made with a pre-production machine at the Creality head office. The machine is run by the team that developed the K2plus so they don't care what it looks like - they want to make sure it works perfectly before we ship them in October. So they almost never have the cover on.

That's why I'm saying. This printer checks every single box for me, except it says "Creality" on it and I've been burned 3 times now. I've got the K1 Max and the VFA is unreal, not to mention the horrible hotend design, the fact that they fixed the hotend design well after I bought mine for over $1,000 and don't even offer an upgrade kit but ship all the new machines with it. God Creality is just brutal.

That's still from the same pre-prod printer, I think. The real test for the printer is going to be after reviewers get theirs in the next couple of weeks. THEY will most likely be testing more use cases (i.e. non-PLA, engineering/composite materials, flexibles, tall prints, filter/ventilation performance, etc.) Hopefully there will be time to incorporate a little bit of feedback before the production units are shipped....if it's small tweaks. 🤞

something to do with nozzle pressure and building it up before resuming the print, I'm waiting for tool changers to come out too much wasted time and filament on these AMS systems. What people don't realize until after purchas is that a 5 hour single color print goes up to 20 hours for the same print in multicolor and you wast 1/2 the filament as well! Thats if the AMS works perfectly! Running an AMS quadruples your chances of having a print failure!
