Growing up in the outskirts of Vienna Austria there where a fair number of hedgehogs around sometimes I would see a family of them other times individuals the would cut through auer gardens To wherever they where going. I sometimes would catch one and bring it in the house would crack a egg into a bowl it was never more then 15 minutes before the unrolled themselves relaxed and ate the raw egg. After a wile I put them back outside I never met a mean one that would bite, the where all strangely tame.

This was really useful as a hedgehog owner,i got it yesterday and i was a little scared to pick it up because of its spikes so I thought it would hurt me,but when i saw this on how to hold it with gloves or towels.i use a blanket a small baby blanket and i sleep with it so it can have my sent and my hedgehog can get used to it and adapt!

I'm so confused I saw on a video leaving them alone for a couple days could make them not tame

I love them. But as any other animal which isn't domensticated I prefer to watch them in the wild and support them there with leaf hills or dry places for the winter. :)

I got a wild hedgehog mailed to me in a box I picked it up when it was in ball form (it was surrounded with bubblewrap) and put it right next to a grave the spiky guy was kinda big and figuratively not prickly when I came to check if it left it was gone and I never thought of it again until I saw this video
