Hey Shawn, I have a couple of Davenports , I am wanting to convert them to battery RC, did you manage to convert your Davenport without having to have a trailing car for batteries ?
@07461snowshoe25 күн бұрын
I was able to put the battery inside the engine. I took all the electronics out and installed the loco genie it.
@CCTMitch19625 күн бұрын
@@07461snowshoe what type of battery have you used? Did you also take the weight out so the battery would fit

Very nice! You make that track yourself? Is it RC too?
@07461snowshoe28 күн бұрын
The rails were bought, but the ties were hand laid. Loco isn't RC. Just use the throttle. Geared engines tend to stay 1 speed

You can actually hear the engineer whistling as he goes by at 3:33. Hah. Very nice railroad.

Beautifully filmed, the snow makes for romantic scenery. And kudos for driving at a realistic speed. Thanks for sharing 👍

amazing. Im so jealous. I have an uneven garden so my railway ends up like 3 feet in the air. No way i could replicate this :(

Nice, but where is the pancake house that will make use of all that fresh maple syrup? Also, IHOP or Waffle House? I’ve never ate at Waffle House, but my last trip to IHOP was terrible.

I really love your railroad. I have been digesting every article you have ever written and trying to incorporate some of your techniques into my own design. I am torn, I love the back woods logging, but I also want to run long D&NG trains as well. Do you have any grades on your line? I am going to try to max at 2%. Maybe if I have a logging branch I will go steeper for my Shay.
@07461snowshoe5 ай бұрын
Thanks. I appreciate the comments. You could do one line that does the long stuff and incorporate a smaller backwoods line inside the main line.

Why does the locomotive's boiler have snow on it? Shouldn't it be hot?
@07461snowshoe5 ай бұрын
It's battery-powered. Not a live steam engine.
@derekdurst21465 ай бұрын
@@07461snowshoe Yes of course I realize that but you appear to be going for realism. Sorry but I'm extremely detail oriented. I can't watch movies because all I see are the faults. It's not a lot of fun being me. 🙂
@07461snowshoe5 ай бұрын
It's all good. I don't go for realism as it's impossible to do outdoors. I'm far from a fine scale modeler. I just do it for fun and for myself.
@UmoadoGaming5 ай бұрын
@@derekdurst2146 actually it’s possible for a steam locomotive to have snow on it without melting, the snow acts as an insulator. Same as an igloo with fire inside.
