Hi dere I'm historian studied ancient Bharat 🚩 culture and it's influence on China. Buddhism was brought to China, Mangolia, Japan , Phillipines, Korea was totally under Bharat influence. Clue Bhodhidharma who introduced Kalaripattu which later became kunfu. Buddhism temples established before Mao destroyed them in 1950 onwards were main cultural activities of mainland China including it's ancient river channel. Red is symbol of prosperity which belongs to Shakti ie Godess Devi is still followed by Chinese. Flower is the main temple worship is extensively used by Chinese still today because you have forgotten real reason behind it. Dragon or Garuda is vahana of God Vishnu who is caretaker of every living thing in his surroundings is exactly same as half truth behind it's hidden reason.

It's a pity many teachers don't really talk about the more hidden similarities between English and German, especially cognate words obscured by sound shifts. E.g. many English words starting with "TW" have a German equivalent with "ZW" (twig -> Zweig, twitter -> zwitschern, two -> zwei/zwo, twelve -> zwölf, twin -> Zwilling), similarly TH -> D (thick -> dick, thorn -> Dorn, thing -> Ding, three -> drei), P -> PF (pan -> Pfanne, path -> Pfad, pole -> Pfahl, post -> Pfosten, pepper -> Pfeffer, pipe -> Pfeife), D -> T (day -> Tag, dream -> Traum, dance -> Tanz, deer -> Tier), T -> Z (tin -> Zinn, toll -> Zoll, tent -> Zelt, ten -> zehn) etc. This helps to remember many common words

it could help remember, but is a very theoretical approach and doesn't really help in a conversation, if you don't know a word.

Somehow the ribbon thing and the dance is similar to some SE asia but I know it's bc of the influence of indians plus Chinese but more indianized depending on what country.

Many Chinese travelers came to India in ancient times... Obviously we exchanged our culture. Keeping aside the political contradiction, we actually have similar cultures. ❤❤

I have aquestion. Listen to podcast or youtube video or whatever in the language you are trying to learn when you are just A1 level, is it usufully? Because when i do i feel utterly confused and a bit demotiveted after, it's overwhelming not to undestand nothing and catch just some words in the long run, plus my brain stop to focus after a while and get "tired"

I have been in love with Chinese culture seen I was small. I am African Amercian and my uncle worked for the United Nations and the Ford Foundation. He made many friends and I was exposed to brush painting, which I have taught and music. As an artist I dream of going to Caves of Dunhuang and Longmen Cave/Grottoes. Thank You for this incredible episode.♥✌🏽
