Relatively new subscriber here. First time seeing a talking vlog from you. I really liked the talking vlog versus the silent ones. Even if you only did once a month, I think that'd be cool.

Hey thanks for subscribing. Here is a playlist off talking vlogs from last year mostly. kzfaq.info/sun/PLHs4sziheskJ5ztqlXuKmZxzsbtZm4gH-&si=pyNph_L47x4PGrkg. This year I am doing silent vlogs because I am doing it everyday and I don't have the capacity to talk everyday. But still want to document my year so silent vlog format is more sustainable for me. Anyway thanks for watching!

Thank you for the lovely tour of Bondi Junction Westfield. I don't get out at all so I feel like I've actually gone out! You have a lovely, lighthearted voice. I think you should do what suits you ito a talking vlog - maybe every two weeks so it's not too onerous on you?

The rides are there because they know mums usually come to kmart & kids come too with the mum so every time the mum brings the kids to kmart the kids start crying for the ride..to avoid tantrums you put your kid on the ride. Or you tell them IF they behave they get the ride at the end.

I like your talking vlogs and I find the non talking ones relaxing. When you talk you have a happy voice and that is reassuring 😊 I used to work at Bondi junction and we used to sometimes go to that upstairs food court with the awesome view, and the coffee shop in the bookshop...sad about the bookshop being gone 😢

Do you sell your crochet pieces?
@valourine2 күн бұрын
The crochet pieces, no. Mainly because the likelihood of them unraveling is quite high. Because I am not good with tying the loose ends and they are also extremely messily joined. No suitable for getting money involved. Knitted items, sometimes, but only for a limited time. I was thinking of crocheting around hair bands/ties and offering it through the kofi shop. But let's see, it is just a thought for now.

@valourine your crochet pieces in your other videos are so pretty like that blanket you did. Definitely think about it as another source of income! I crochet wall hangings for my antique booth here in Georgia and I just sold one for $30. Thanks for always taking time to reply to our comments!
Love your videos, when I watch/listen to them, I feel less alone. I too suffer from autism, depression and anxiety. Thank you, it takes strength and courage to share your authenticity, realness (rather than the fake glam life), thoughts and real feelings. I too have weaknesses, have to mask often and addictions such as drinking, thank you for your courage for being strong enough to admit your weaknesses. Love your honesty in regard to everyday life and money does matter. Love, from one autistic woman in Australia to another.

Keep going Valourine, sure this person below might have some good advice, but to me it seems really harsh. I personally find your videos extremely relatable and I have shared them with my friends, all of us have similar feelings, maybe not all the time, but often....there are periods in life where when the smallest task is exhausting. You're doing the best you can for now. Unfortunately I am also very poor....as are so many of the people I know in today's world. But I think right now you can benefit from a little treat over the weekend...best wishes, look after yourself, we are on your side (from the UK and NZ ❤).

Yes, it is delusional to think drawing a bunch of graphic squiggles and trying to make money off it will help you sustain yourself into old age (I used to run a graphic design business for years so I know the reality of it/ Makes me worry for you. Also, let's not forget the reality: AI will undoubtedly automate/replace most of the generic graphic designer work and businesses will opt for AI. AI can generate the same work in seconds and generate thousands of the same graphic elements). It's a sure-shot destination to poverty and homelessness. Some of the super creative people I know in their 20s/30s are struggling to make ends meet and are already switching careers. Maybe I am being harsh but you are still young in your 40s to re-orient and work your ass off so that the 60-year-old you don't have to suffer. Wake-up calls are harsh and only those who truly wish you well would have the balls to say it. Those commenters who cheer you on and put random heart/smile emojis are not doing you a favour. I can see you can do a lot more to change your life around but it seems as if you're waiting for that change to show up magically. It wont. Even the KZfaqrs with thousands of subscribers are not earning enough. KZfaq and graphic submissions are sideline quests to supplement your main source of income. In this economy, keeping those two as your main is dangerous. It will be too late to turn things around a decade from now but right now you still have the time. All you really need is to take RISKS, real RISKS and believe in yourself to do it well. That's all. Remember, "no job is big or small" It's self-doubt, victim mindset and ego that stand in your way. Trust me, I know those are there to protect you (your brain is in survival mode) but it's also destroying a potential future you could have. The earlier you realise it and break away from its shackles, the better your life will be in the future.

Her therapist has been trying to convince her to get a job and it hasn't been working. Her relatives have been very kind to give her free housing until her 40's. I do not relate to her videos when she complains about potentially giving back her apartment or having to find a flatmate to maintain it as I do not know anyone kind enough in real life to lend an apartment to someone else for decades
@whiskeralla30844 күн бұрын
@@robodino9446 yeah, you won't get a job if you are after "I want to make lots of money and be a millionaire only making art or doing creative jobs because that's what I am proud of" mindset. I feel she is unwilling to settle down for just any kind of job unless it is super creative and the kind of job she envisions (cos the rest are beneath and not "good enough") or she's afraid of people and it is just the general fear. Like I said, every job is respectable and nothing is above or beneath. As a neurodivergent person, I worked many odd jobs before I landed on a stable one. When you're on the verge of homelessness it's not the right time to pick and choose, it is the harsh truth which does not mean you cannot go after your dreams someday. There are many "rags to riches" stories where people ultimately get there but those folks were willing to get their hands dirty and do some real tough jobs before they got there. They did not have the time or privilege to ponder about life, blame how cruel and unfair the world is constantly, be envious of others and let their physical/mental disabilities get in their way. And yes, I don't know many relatives who would let a family member stay in a place for more than a year or a few months. Also, NOBODY owes anyone anything because it is their property at the end of the day.
@whiskeralla30844 күн бұрын
Sad thing is I know Valourie will never take critiques or some tough love advice ever because it will only be seen as an "attack" which is why she always ignores them. Trust me, the commenters who posts lovey-dovey word salad wishing you well will be the ones getting a good kick out of seeing you not progress in life because if you do progress, then you'll stop being "relatable" to them. Just go see all the well-wishers some over weight body positivity influencers had. They all left or turned into haters the second those influencers started losing weight and started to become healthy lol. So yeah be mindful. Not everyone who gives you a reality check is your enemy, and not everyone who wishes you well is your friend. Sure you'd have the "but youtube is just a personal diary and I didn't ask for advice" Well, KZfaq is a public platform at the end of the day. You get paid based on the views people give so it comes with your viewers having the free will to share their thoughts. If that isn't your thing you should not be sharing details of your personal life on KZfaq but since you are, it is expected for people to put down their thoughts.
@appu55932 күн бұрын
@@whiskeralla3084 ya the not becoming relatable bit is very true... but I guess Autistic people find it hard to see life in grey and only see it as black and white..it's either good or bad and ders no in between..so they will be easily fooled by the "good comments". That's exactly why many autistic people attract the wrong friendships and relationships often cos they get very defensive and angry when anyone tries to give them sensible advice. you r wasting time sharing any advice tbh cos she will most likely think you are the enemy unfortunately. The minute she starts seeing any success in life many of those folks leaving sweet comments will disappear because they are not here to see that. she won't be relatable to them if she finds success
I absolutely love your videos. Your videos are so honest, real, authentic, I relate to them so much and feel less alone. I am autistic, Asian, living in Australia, I struggle so much with social skills (because growing up, I was too ashamed to admit I had weaknesses and thought I had to be 'perfect' to be liked), also I love money (traditional Asian parents). I struggle to let my guard down and just want to hide away. I want to connect with people, however I will need to show vulnerability. I too, grew up with a 'depressing' personality, I make people sad, my mind switch to negative thoughts. Maybe its the autism. Anyways, I absolutely love your videos. Thank you for being so real and honest.

Valourine, I think you express your inner workings (via these KZfaq videos) so well. I often think that is exactly how I feel when you articulate some inner challenges you are facing and that you have analysed it and put it into words. I see you as a Philosopher. You have very good insight into your inner workings, you are aware and you are able to articulate it perfectly.

Hehe yeah I've seen them at the supermarket before.
Hi Valourine :), I have been thinking about what you said about being poor. I know we all tend to focus on our own situation, but honestly being 'poor' is truly relative. I think these days in Australia, we are very lucky just to have a roof over our heads. Very, very lucky. There are so many people that don't as they can't afford the rents that are now being charged so they are now living in their cars or out in the cold on the streets. And some that can just afford the rents, cannot afford to eat much at all. This has become the norm now here. To be able to have a roof over our heads is a luxury now for the majority of Australians. To be able to have some money to buy enough food is also a luxury now for many. So I think feeling poor is very much one of perspective. Think about how very lucky we actually are and you might feel better. I hope so. Best wishes always.

your internal observations of your feelings while painting at 5:43-ish are so interesting! have you considered art therapy / becoming an art therapist? you seem to naturally connect the art with psychological processes
@appu55935 күн бұрын
To become a certified art therapist, you need relevant college education; Postgrad in Psychiatry or psychology. To get a postgrad you need an undergrad in a related subject. It takes years of study to get into clinical practice so we're looking at thousands of dollars as an investment. The ones that do it without it are a scam. Art therapy isn't just about painting and talking about deep philosophies..you need formal training in it.

can you tell us about your thyroid journey - what type of thyroid problem do you have? how are you handling it? are natural supplements working? have you tried medication etc? I would love to know alll about it.
@valourine8 күн бұрын
Sure, not handling it too well. But well enough. Hashimoto. Haven't taken thyroxine yet (I am not a doctor, please consult your doctor). Will consider taking it in the future. Taking, supplements and vitamins instead (10x more expensive): magnesium around 600-1000 mg a day, vitamin d3 around 30,000-70,000 iu a week, I used to take high dose of b complex, with added b5 and b9 to help sleep, but nowadays I take all the b vitamins when I need it only. I take TUDCA for my liver and gallbladder, digestive enzymes for proteins betaine hcl, and for others just generic one from chemist shop. I used to take my inositol and choline, but waned myself off once symptoms are better. I still take Alcar, NAC, Glutamine and bovine collagen. And this year I started taking bovine colostrum to help with gut inflammation. I take k2 alongside vit d3. And tripple strength omega 3 around 4 pills a day. With these I know I am getting better when the dosage decreases and I need to wane them off eventually. Started taking dessicated bovine thyroid and liver this year, found it a bit helpful. Like the betaine hcl, I used to take up to 6-8 pills every time I eat meat with a higher dose per pill. Now I take one usually if I remember and 2 if it is a lot of meat. It helps increase my stomach acid to help break down protein. I did a lot of research before starting all of these. So please DO NOT COPY AS INDIVIDUALS CIRCUMSTANCES MAY VARY AND PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR, as I am just doing it to fix myself.
@neha93628 күн бұрын
@@valourine Wow! thats a lot of supplements! What is your reason for not taking the thyroxine? My journey is at the start just got told I have hypothyroidism so not sure about medicine vs supplements yet. Love to hear from someone more experienced.
@ttephi36678 күн бұрын
@@neha9362 Hi, hypothyroid for 15 years (caused by Hashimoto's). If you have been diagnosed as hypothyroid through your bloodtests, your Dr will automatically prescribe hypothyroid medication. If you choose animal (bovine or pig) dessicated thyroid instead (often through self medication as the quality of animal thyroid is often not regulated) then one has to be careful as getting the dose right can be difficult. For example, if you take too much, it can make you hypERthyroid while it's in your system which would cause fairly unpleasant symptoms. Supplements take time to work and although they do help, sometimes the thyroid cannot get better and one needs the proper medication at the right dose. My recommendation would be thyroxine plus supplements to support your thyroid. Best wishes.

Your honesty is refreshing and your innermost thoughts are things that I can definitely relate to, and I know so many others who also relate to these feelings and ideas.
