We wanted to start in Mex and get that killer climb over the col de jorat out of the way on the first day , it really is a slog up . I guess we just followed the direction of the race . At the time most of the vids on here were always taken on race day so I familiarised myself with the route that way round , it was a pain the road to Mex was closed and we had to do that climb on the last day . We only met one group doing it anti clockwise over the whole trip and I reckon walking down from that col would test your shins and knees for sure . It’d still be a top route either way .Are you thinking of doing it then ?

To be honest I’ve probably 5 or 6 trips that I’ve videoed on the Mac but just can’t seem to find the time to edit any of them . That and the fact all my vlogging kit was stolen when we woke to a scumbag in the front of the camper in France 😡. The sod got our passports as well ! Once I replace all that there’s a good chance we’ll get uploading again 🤞. The Lanshan is still a great tent eh 👍

There is only a couple of bits where you may have to help your pooch but they’re not bad to be honest . It really depends on how capable your dog is though . I would much rather take this route than the pig track any day , simply because it’s sooo much quieter but again , it all depends on your dogs capability. Maybe safer to stick to the pig track and try this one another time on your own 👍

Yep and the climb is easy so she'll probably be able to do it all and you can just back pack her for the steep bits on the descent 👍

Not that trail but we went up via Tryfan and Bristly Ridge a good few years ago . It was a great way up but not for the faint hearted. Lucy had a proper ‘moment’ at one point . There’s an old vid we did on here 👍

Thank you ! No, nothing bad thank heavens but just couldn’t give it the time it deserved . What with new jobs and grandkids and being on call nowadays it’s been difficult to find the time to get the editing done . We have a good few trips recorded (one of which saw our van get broken into in France this year while we slept! ) but again it’s the editing time . Plus the sod nicked all my vlogging set up and our passports 😡. When funds allow we will hopefully put some more videos up but as for when we just can’t say 🤞

Hello Glyn , that would be our Tera nova quasar , it’s one of the original ‘90s models . The last time I checked you could still get the uk made yellow and grey version from terra nova as well as the standard green ones but that was a good while ago now .I think the quasar was the first tent to withstand 100mph winds in a wind tunnel so it’s pretty bomb proof and the main reason we bought it . Thank you Pete. Yes we’re doing ok , although I am getting over a nasty bout of pneumonia at the moment but on the mend . Hope all is well with you and yours .I keep saying I’m going to start uploading again and even have a good few trips that we’ve filmed but just can’t seem to find the time to edit them . Then , on a recent van trip to Spain , I woke to find a dirty thief in the front of our van ! I dived at him but he grabbed Lucy’s handbag which had our passports in and the sod got my Sony vlogging camera 😡 so I haven’t been able to replace it since as funds won’t allow . Hopefully a GoPro 12 will give me the inspiration to start up again when I eventually get one , so watch this space 👍.

We’re all good thanks , I did plan a vid of our last trip in the van to Spain but we were robbed at an overnight stop and the sod got my cameras 😡. Hopefully the insurance will pay up and I can replace it 🤞and start uploading again 🤞
