Hey Chau, I am up to a good amount of gold with still twenty days before expansion, which is better just buying all packs at the start of the expansion or just doing arena runs? Because I still get a pack, I don't need a lot of wins to get the fifty extra gold back and I get dust. I am just curious as a newer player which is the best way because also getting the dust from arena seems beneficial than just going only packs

I think it depends on how much you want to play standard. If you have most of this expansions cards then the pack you get from the current arena will be less valuable card-wise compared to buying the next expansions packs. Even though you do get dust from it, just getting every card from the next expansion is better dust-value for your gold than the arena rewards. If you like playing arena though, and you're getting more than your money back (at least 5-6 wins), then I'd say arena works too. Anything less is worse gold-to-dust value. I would recommend waiting, but splurging on arena occasionally isn't terrible either.

@@ChauPau not playing arena right now I mean playing after the start of the next expansion so it's current packs. Instead of just buying all the packs day one just keep running arena with the same amount of gold collecting packs and resources so I can play standard and have more dust without even dusting the packs.

What I personally do is spend most of my gold on day 1 on packs and then spend the rest on arena/packs depending what I'm feeling. You get enough gold from the rewards track that I feel it's ok to spend a lot of gold quickly and then just earn it back. Unless you really love arena and want to play it a lot I think mostly buying packs is good enough. Important to note that new expansion might be expensive because of the tourist mechanic and it requiring cards from two classes in some decks so maybe more arena this time.

@@TalkingWithBob Oh sorry I misunderstood. I think if you can consistently profit from arena and you like playing it then I think that it's definitely viable. It's just a judgement call on whether or not you want to spend your time on it though. Also just know there is risk in case you lose or get bad drafts (or also win big )

The evolution of arena is CRAZY. Every single deck I’ve made in the current arena meta would have beaten this by far even if I had the worst and you the best draw luck because of the power scaling. It’s insane.

Great video, my pepega brain got most of it but just to be clear. I should open golden packs for the guaranteed legendary within the first 10 packs then just focus on normal packs? :D

Depends. Opening the golden pack for the golden legendary if you can afford it. If you're done most of your collection by then, then you can open golden packs. If you have a lot of your collection or you don't care about playing new decks then you can buy golden packs

Love this! I'll never understand people who recommend buying regular packs "to build a collection". Newsflash: That's irrelevant if you're either F2P or only pay for the rewards track. You'll never get enough cards for a reasonable collection, so it makes a lot more sense to only care about dust and use it to craft a few meta decks each expansion. So the best seems to be to buy the regular miniset, gold packs until hitting the legendary and then spend all other gold on golden minisets that are for dusting only (ideally timing it to get the latest one pre-nerfs).

I'm planning on only playing one class. I was going to dust all the cards from the other classes to collect as many of my class cards as possible (as well as neutrals). So would it be more economic and efficient to simply buy gold packs to disenchant to obtain my class cards?

That bit at 20:20 *sounds* really scary, but it's worth keeping in mind that the imps the Twisting Nether summons are also demons. Your opponent can pretty easily kill Sargeras first then clear the imps, leaving leaving you with a limp Endgame.

I pretty much quit Hearthstone early this year. I've played the game since early 2014 and it was a lot of fun to play back in the mid to late 2010s. But over time the game has started to irritate me. I think I've overplayed it for my own good. And it doesn't have that same community vibe that it used to in its earlier days.

It's quirky and all but TBH in silver you can climb with nearly everything including starter decks If you would show some gameplay in daimond or better yet in legend that would be much more enthralling Half of those players in bronze-silver are bots anyhow so

It’s guaranteed within the first 10 packs if you haven’t purchased any packs from that expansion I believe, but you can get lucky and get it in the first openings.
