I’ve found this amazing tutorial randomly as KZfaq suggestion, but I was looking for a way to import the front wave in to a graph mapper, in order to continue with my research in acoustic diffusers, for sure I need to re parametrize the definition on some points cause the results are weird and different than the first iterations but thanks if you im on the right way

Yeah grasshopper hasn’t changed (they will eventually release G2, it’s in beta now) but R8 did bring in a bunch of new components! I’m going to be doing a video on them soon!

Great, thanks cant wait to find a reason to apply these cool new improvements of Rhino3d. Push pull is sort of how sketchup works when i used it, but rhino has so much more versatility. Cant wait to get a cool project to get hands on.

Did you organize the curves yourself or using the network surface auto sort? One tip I’ve used for organizing them visually is changing the color of the U direction curves to blue and the V direction to red. Then it’s clear where there’s a problem

thanks man for the explaination, but if i may ask, let say if i want to export it for blender to create animation, in this case im using sub D for some bevel, and nurbs together, what kind of operation do i need before i export it into mesh polygon? should i go with grasshopper and smooth it out first, or just export it?
@AndrewFriedenberg
@AndrewFriedenberg Жыл бұрын
I mean I would recommend smoothing in GH before export just so all geometry is sorted in 1 program but you could also use the modifiers in blender to subdivide/smooth an imported polygon mesh!

Hey Andrew! Really cool video. I’m curious how it’s gonna go on the grasshopper definition and what plugin might be needed - but is it possible to input an audio file and see how the object reacts to it and what form would be generated. Did you happen to try that out?

Super sick. I make face masks with crazy computational patterns and then print them on SLA machines. Currently I'm trying to re-orient, rebuild, remap the corner points of a WB dual graph hexagonal pattern on a face that came from a tri-remap mesh into position to surround spheres packed on that surface. I need the grid to move along with the packing to border those objects perfectly. I imagine this should be possible, but I just don't know how. Any ideas?
