Thank you for sharing this. Before the Stockade business, this building was owned by my husband's great grandfather, Alex Trouchet, and he was a very well known chemist in Perth. My husband's grandmother would have spent her formative years in that building. We have never seen the inside.

This is really sad disgraceful disgusting how governments here in Western Australia have no culture historical of our great state. This historical place has great meaning to so many of as including me and the hollow ground Subi oval in blink of an eye there erased form history and governments have got away with cultural historical vandalism by living the fascia of the building like Pensioner Baracks most of buildings along the mandurah line under perth in from court house etc . By demolishing and leaving the front wall of a house building governments put on heritage listed which is like smoke and mirrors con job. The sole and vibe feeling connection as gone 😔 some people don't like to expect that white indigenous Australians don't have a culture and r invaders 😮 put we do haveca culture my grandfathers grandmothers scarified volunteered everything for This land and 8 feel the same This is my only home I have ever known place of birth. I have a connection belong . About time the governments start respecting every Australian

It's sad that we turn our backs on place that have served us well and memories perth we knock down our historical identity we have lost remarkable buildings hotels the likes of boans barracks Waverley hotel shit load more and what do we have rich peoples high risers a crappy Meyers building facades and nothing left of the heart of the buildings destroyed building tunnel under Perth a stupid convention centre the Perth arena "crashed beer can with pretty lights "list of shit Perth and what's deal with the destruction of East Perth cemetery. Alot of new buildings in Perth will start looking stupid and out of favour quick but don't worry we will just knock them down and put up another self obsessed architecture's idea of Perth though I had smoked some drugs in my time might have to take it up again then it will or look😃

Child sex slavery? The crap people make up about these places astounds me. It was the home of an old bloke who made horse bridles and saddles and stuff. Sadly he was a hoarder which led to a rodent infestation and the house was condemned. When he still lived there the yard was full of all sorts of stuff, but all of that was cleared away after he left. I'm unsure if he's in care or if he has passed away.

I've always attended PMH throughout my childhood years and I was curious to visit the hospital closed down. Great video. I was wondering where you managed to enter the building and was most of the hospital easily accessible?
@StreetkidIndustries3 жыл бұрын
These photos weren't taken by us but we were lucky to find a contractor who could take them for us. I think demolition is now more than halfway so there's not much to see now and deadset too dangerous to visit.
@chantellelouise44493 жыл бұрын
@@StreetkidIndustries yep, we figured that out yesterday ahah. There was no way of us getting in. We tried several options, even the underground tunnel which was creepy enough but the government clearly doesn't want people being able to access the site. There's also a lot of security and monitoring as well as overnight workers there too. thanks for that though.

I used to go to this place as a kid. So many memories it's a shame to see it in such condition now
@WesternAustraliaNowAndThen3 жыл бұрын
There's another good reason to film these places. They are part of our history no matter how small their part may be and once they are gone, they are gone forever. Recording these things is important, at least in my opinion.

It looked so different in the earlier days. So un-trashed, so fresh and clean, great historical video
