I've been thinking about picking up cello and watching you realize the bow is a lesson in itself was surprising. I didn't realize I would have to figure out how to use the bow lol

Hello!I'm a cellist and so happy are starting the best instrument ever. one thing that I am noticing is that you're really tense in the shoulders. before starting every practice session, be sure to shake your arms and relax, your shoulders are kind of up in the air, they should just be staying down. your posture is amazing keep up the good work and the pain will go away.

I play the hammered dulcimer, but about a year and a half ago, I got really into the idea of learning the lever harp. I got one, but I haven't really gotten far with it. I'm thinking I might get a teacher this year and get serious about it. Good luck!

I got very annoyed at the beginning because the sound was really weak and I thought that she was pressing too lightly because I know for a lot of other string instruments you don’t have to press at all but I play the bass

Heya! Violinist here, but my best friend plays cello, so I know somewhat about this. Like madie suggested, I would highly recommend a rock stop, and maybe check your rosin? It looks like dark rosin (dark oak colored), but since I'm not sure if the rosin came with the cello, I can't tell completely. If it's a lighter colored rosin, that's for more violins and maybe violas, and will make your tone a bit strange.

hey im a cello player, im so happy you picked up cello! Iv got a couple tips too! one is i noticed you pick up the cello to adjust the height I would spend some time looking up a rock stop. its a little circle or square that helps keep the cello in place on slippery floors. And one one thing else and everything else was amazing, is try to loosen the bow hairs just a smidge oh it just caught my eye is I know for aucustic cello which I have its not recommended to hang in on the wall but I dont know for electric. I hope you keep it up!

hello, I have been learning cello since 2012 and to me, your cello is out of tune: the bridge seems askew and your bow seems too tight. For a first year of cello, a luthier could have directed you towards a rental for a year before buying. You will have to go there anyway to adjust the pegs, the endpin, the tailpiece and the bridge. Learning on an electric cello seems complicated to me because the sound projection is not at all the same. A traditional cello is better for correcting intonation and bowing technique. Hello, I'm a young cellist, and I've been playing cello for around 9 years now and here a couple tips that I can give you. In my opinion the most fundamental part of cello is the posture. Ideally, you would have the C peg right behind your ear. I would raise the end pin up by a bit so the cello can go farther up. Otherwise, for the body posture, it is mostly correct. For the right arm posture, the bow hold needs a lot of work. make sure to relax your right shoulder and dont hold any tension. For the actual bowhold, it is hard to explain it over text. I'd just search up cellobello bow hold and there are probably some great videos out there that can help you. Good luck on your cello journey.

I have the feeling that your skates are too big, especially since the liner widens over time. As exercises, I recommend you try jumping from the asphalt to the grass. That's how I learned 180. Good luck.
