It idling OK when you blocked off the intake some is indicitive of a lean pilot jet. I'd see what you have in there and get a couple larger ones. That will help with two things as well since lean = hotter. The main jet, I really have no idea. Not sure where to go with that one and I've never had to guess a jet completely blind. Get some richer and some leaner I guess and see which it responds to. Probably richer with the weak vacuum signal and how it refuses to run on the needle circut either. Timing may need to change as the engine spins faster as well. Not sure if you can spin it up far enough to bother though. Might blow itself apart before there's real benefit to making a timing curve.

@@CamdenBowen in terms of getting good surface finish, do all your roughing cuts at the correct feed and speed, then for the finishing crank up the rpm to 2000 or something, it will be extra shiny! (with a minimum 0.8 nose radius if possible). And Centre height for tooling is extremely important! Always have the tooling on centre height! It changes everything! (as you figured out)

0,13mm piston to cylinder clearance? Way too much even for a rev happy two stroke. 0,06mm would be good. You will get piston slap

I, like you, enjoy building and creating. I have been dabbling in the arts of electric and mechanical engineering for 25 years as a hobbiest. I find your videos to be inspiring amd well made. Well done, my new subscription. Well done! Put that together with your gas engine and make a fully (mostly) 3d printed RC car!
