I have owned 8000xt for a few months now and love it. Unbelievably light but still gives you utmost confidence when using. The line reducers are brilliant and dare I say much better design than Shimano. BUT only one of each size and completely impossible to buy more . Penn do not list or supply it’s not even shown on the exploded parts diagram or list. Madness Penn please sort…

I caugjt a 20lb mirror yesterday on 8lb main line, with a 7lb hook length. With a 24gram medium hybrid feeder. 4 inch hair rig single krill 12mm boilie. I threw in three boilies and using 4mm pellets on the feeder. And placed my line near where i knew the fish was. I didnt even have my buzz bar setup. Took 20 mins to land it. But got it in fine let it rest for 10 mins. Goes to show you dont always need all the stuff alot of these guys use. That being said i like adam and alot of the time what he says is useful and contains knoledge

This is great help. Thank you. I have about 10 abu round reels, but 5 are broken. All reels have same issues : pawl, driver shaft, handle connections. I just cannot understand why abu parts are not sold openly. This is why people dont buy abu reels. My 10 reels are all relatively recent ones and they are now on cellar. They are so poorly built. But I like the design.

I would love to try out this range, they look the business. As a none pendulum caster I find it difficult to find rods that I can compress which is what ultimately makes a rod fit for purpose. Eventually I found a rod, the Akios Fury FX 420 lovely off the beach and suits me down to a tee. Hopefully I will be able to give one of these a try sometime and buy one if suited as I need to build my arsenal up after ditching all the rods I had purchased because I was buying blind and buying into a name rather than what was best suited. Thanks for the video 👍

In seas with currents, such as the Bosphorus, would 7000 or 8000 grams be appropriate? In the Bosphorus, where the current is high, we use a lead weight of 200-220 grams...

Really good to watch this! And good to see Fish Locker giving things a go on the lighter side....fair play to him for not dismissing this kind of fishing and taking the time to learn and appreciate a kind of fishing that is totally alien to him. I've actually gone and bought some really light braid and a jig today....so hopefully...after learning all this from yourselves....will catch something unusual. It's not about the size...it's all about fishing...just that...fishing...and getting out and about with other lads who enjoy the outdoors and the thrill of the hunt. By the way....that Gurnard was stunning!

Sooo, I've taken my reel apart for maintenance, When I tighten the handle (on the right side) the entire reel tightens up and is hard to turn. The same thing DOES NOT HAPPEN if i put the handle on the LEFT side of the reel and tighten it down, any suggestions?
