Since I haven't flown south yet, is the Gorge always bumpy?
@LookingforHigher6 күн бұрын
I'm sure it's bumpy most of the year around the gorge. Add wind in thermals - no bueno!

Where did u get 21 miles out from? Great video guys
@LookingforHigher6 күн бұрын
Thanks for checking out my video! We were at 11,500 and needed to descent to 3,800'. We had roughly 7,000' to lose. So, 7 x 3 = 21nm out for TOD. Then we take our groundspeed 200 KIAS/2 =100 -but then add a zero to the end 1,000 FPM needed to maintain a 3 degree glideslope 21 nm out. However, that's aggressive in an unpressurized plane, so we started 42 nm out at 500 fpm (1.5 degree glideslope). It's a great trick that works in any aircraft. Hope this explains it well!

I’ve owned a Cirrus for years, believe in the cute, yet I’ve entrusted my family’s safety to single engine turbo-props. For the sake of innovation and marketplace competition, I’d love to see a SE turboprop adopt the chute. It makes spouses more comfortable no doubt! Obviously, the Jet has the chute but missing ~500lbs of payload compared to the TBM. Really comes down to mission specifics.

Haulover, before there was an inlet that was manmade, there was a sand spit connecting north and south a man named "Baker" used to "haul" boats across from bay to ocean and vice versa hence "Baker's Haulover"

I appreciate all the viewership and support from everyone. Great comments, but regarding Steveo’s “job.” Steveo’s career is more than strictly being a contract pilot; it’s being an influencer and even representative of several cool products through sponsorship. I’m not speaking for Steveo, but when a plane sells, that’s merely a transition of his work chariot but not goodby to his job. His job remains spreading his perspective of aviation across anything he encounters, whether it be a rented plane, contract flown TBM, or C172. Hope this clears it up, and he was super stoked to fly together! Not upset or down at all. Cheers,

Steve! Hey, would u be able to share publicly what, if any pay or commision u receive fr the brokerage? Totally understand if not, thnx for all u do for the aviation community!
@LookingforHigherАй бұрын
Thanks for checking out my video! Steve came along to demo, as he’s the main pilot for the owner. I’m brokering the aircraft, exclusively, via my company Mason Amelia. Our fees start at 4.9% for sub $1MM aircraft, and we reduce our fee on a tiered structure for the higher price points. My email is [email protected] if you have further questions or interest.

Been in here many times, but one thing you should know and that is on those rare occasions you have to make left traffic to land on 270...do not venture to far East on your downwind to make a left base turn. The Liberals that live under your turn will have your head...even tho the airport was there before they built homes and moved in. In short, they will raise Hell and one time we went in a little too far and 2 of them came to the airport to chew on my ass. They did until I finally had enough and got mad telling them in blunt Navy language what they could do. They did turn me in to the FAA and they asked me what happen and I told them that I wont make a short approach in a jet and flew a little over the line in the sand that they have for airplanes to not cross. The FAA agreed with me and told me that they would deal with the neighbors. When we were leaving later that evening, I spooled the engines up in the Citation and just held the brakes to let a little noise soak in...then we left. Also went in there with a friend years ago in a 172. I wont ever do that again.
