@jasonmorgan7807 2.4Ghz network may bring wider range for internet your speed won't increase, like 5hz network bandwidth. If your asking why speeds are different. How far you are and speed on wifi and router broadcast all matter.

@@xctechs the company was shady and pretty much scam tier, the mach 8 android version only received 1 update, and when I emailed and asking to send me the Linux version firmware they wanted me to ship it out to them and pay just for them to flash it, they wanted me to pay for the shipping to/and back + also charge me for the firmware. The armada mach 8 android version box says it's manufactured by MBX and the model is "mach8" but I found out it's just a s802 model k200 board. Now I'm searching for a firmware to flash on it...

I just “upgraded” to the Magabox and on local television channel stations, I constantly get “we’ll be right back , down for maintenance “ what is up with that? I am not sure how much maintenance these things can need. Who’s in control?

I don't know which box you are talking about, if the record option is available i am sure you can use it. I didn't play with recording, so i can't say yes or no. but you can ask support on there website.
