Crackin Dave, how deep was it where you were fishin'?

We were in anything over 100m, looking for structure holding fish. The amber jacks would be very visible on the sounder then these Dentex were caught around the AJ shoals

Great video and some nice cods! I am likely going to Tromsø in October and was wondering if you have any spots or recommendations for a bit of cod shore fishing? I will bring the kids fishing and it would be nice to catch a few cod to eat 😀
@Mordsfishingadventures25 күн бұрын
Hi you will have better conditions that time of year. I fished out of vickran south of tromso but theres plenty of good spots around. Even the docks around tromso will produce good cod on lures! Good luck im sure the kids will love it

Hey David, great video with a 675. I bought a 2021 recently and am trying to find out if a short shaft kicker would be long enough to be used as a rescue engine when installed on the bracket. I also want to use the engine on a small RIB. What are the specs of your kicker engine?
@Mordsfishingadventures2 ай бұрын
No mate short shaft wont work if your bracket is factory fitted.

Can you recommend me please the nice jigging rod and left hand reel please! Thanks
@Mordsfishingadventures4 ай бұрын
Theres so much variety and cost levels. This is the majorcraft solpara light jigging rod and i think the fin nor jigging special reel. Its a cheap package that has served me well with fish up to and over 30lb on this setup. Like anything you can spend alot of some gear even up to £600 for just a real Best advice is to get a reasonable rod with a soft action but a powerful butt. Then invest in the best reel you can afford. Its the reel that does the work.

@@Mordsfishingadventures You did extremely well with 79lb daiwa j braid on that 7500LC as I don't think it would hold much of it
@Mordsfishingadventures4 ай бұрын
@@gavinlangford2984 yes it holds quite a bit of 79lb i don’t think you’ll ever get spooled unless you just leave it swim off.

Hopefully get to purchase some popping gear this year. Not sure what to go with stella, saltiga, or slammer? To be fair i think they are all under gunned. I know what your aiming at and quite frankly i thought more of you
@WallysSharkrigs6 ай бұрын
@@Mordsfishingadventures Hi, agree with you - there ain't a spinning reel big enough to target the tuna in our waters! Unless you can sight target the tiddlers

Do you find that boat slams much through short chop of say 1/1.5ft or does it cut through it smoothly? Reason I ask is that I’ve currently got a Raider and fancy something more comfortable. Cheers
@Mordsfishingadventures7 ай бұрын
The raider is a great hull! The 675 and smaller does have a tendency to slam but only when light. If its a bit choppy i open the bungs on the fish hold tanks under the deck and this stops the slamming and also helps the boat penetrate swells. The 755 is only a little bit bigger but is alot heavier so it cuts through most swells. The smaller boats that sit high in the water will all slam at a certain speed. 16 knots on the 675 is comfortable with no slamming but not that economical to run at that speed.
Fantastic video looks like you all had fun ,can I ask what marina that is your birthed in it looks really nice to and do they do day launches for guys coming down with there boats for a day's fishing cheers,keep the vids coming

Im based in Torquay Marina. Yes it has a slip way that can be used in All states of tide. The wreck fishing down here is quite good and we have some amazing bass fishing in season. Then we have the skerries thats not so far away to fish for flats like plaice, turbot rays and so on. Thanks for your comment, ive been quite hesitant to put much up lately and these little comments help boost the confidence a little.

Take that comment down about us having no etiquette on the wreck. Your us don't understand that you have to get close sometimes to get back up on the Drift line. People like you give us rod and line sustainable commercial fisherman a bad name
