I have been trying to buy a metal entrance disk like I have seen on your hive. I can not find anything except a plastic one in Australia. Can you direct me to where you got yours. Love your videos and i am copying your techniques. Thank You

I love having a clothes line. Mine was probably hung in the mid 70’s , and we’ve used it since 1999. I’ve had to replace the strands once. Sadly I don’t use it every wash day, but I’ll never get rid of it and use it with sheets and towels all the time. I love your newer one that doesn’t require walking a long line to hang clothes!

Ariel, I have a similar one. I love it. I hang my clothes all year even in the winter. Love the TP😉 in the laundry room!

Mine's forest green and a little smaller than yours. Thinking about getting that washer as I contemplate retirement and having only my own laundry to do.

Clay, this video is 1 yr old, and I am so glad it popped up in my feed. I read some reviews, and those who say stand up and walk have no clue to the degree you are talking about. It is a whole different level of cramps you are speaking about. My husband used to be able to stand, stretch, move, and eventually, it would calm down. Now, he gets them in the most killing areas, and they do not stop. He has never been a man to show pain, and I believe you may be the same, and I find it hard to see. Thank you for sharing this knowledge, and I am looking for this stuff right away.

I've previously watched this spring at 6000' . This afternoon I viewed while you put the new solar clothes dryer. It looked to be a fun & worthwhile project. What I especially enjoyed was the Red Wing Blackbirds trilling in the background. I takes me back to the days on my grandparent's farm in eastern North Dakota. Love it!

We always have dill pickles in the house. The juice stops cramps like magic and you get to eat the pickles as a bonus.

I purchased a washer 5 years ago, along with a 5 year protection plan, all together it cost me $980. I wasn’t happy with the machine because the clothes didn’t come out clean. On Friday it stopped working. It failed 17 days after the protection plan expired! I’m so angry! Two years ago, I installed an outdoor rotary clothesline and have been air drying clothes since. Now that the washing machine failed, I’m planning on ordering one of these Lehman machines, which are comparable to the cost of the modern machines, and I’ve no doubt that it will last me longer than 5 years and 17 days.

Great to see you using such devices again. I hope more people take advantage of them in the States. I live in a village in Germany, where it's standard to dry clothing outside wherever possible. Because of the wind, such rotary dryers are common in back yards. I use racks inside during cold weather and/or rain. In the cities, racks are common (esp. when you have a balcony). And "Monkey Wards"! I haven't heard that in forever. Thanks for the memory, Clay!

Ariel you look like a kid who just got all the candy she wanted in the candy store! 😂…. I have a clothes line I had my son put up when I moved into my home, but sadly I found it’s counterproductive to use it as we have a large tree canopy which covers our property and if I hang clothes and/or sheets on it they get covered in all sorts of things that fall from the trees 🥴… I end up having to wash everything all over again 🤨…. So it a no go for this household 🤷🏼‍♀️

Just so you know, the wind is created by the SUN warming the earth's surface, hot air rises and creates wind., so wind power is actually solar power, as well.

Line dried laundry is great. I wish we could hang clothes out to dry here. The orange might seem too bright, but anybody who's run into 1 of those while mowing the grass would have probably appreciated the neon color.

Drying clothes outside is best! It makes me angry knowing many neighborhoods don’t allow it. It may be a lost art! A few tips: hang jeans/pants from the hems. Leaving the waist area to hang free means it will dry sooner & with fewer wrinkles - Inside out might work better for some with pockets exposed to the breeze. Same with shirts. Hang by hems & fold the shirt as if on a hanger - I tug on the placket & collar to minimize wrinkles. Hang Uncle Joe’s underwear on an inside line out of sight! Hang sheets & blankets over 2-3 lines for better air circulation. We bought a large drying rack from Lehmans for quick-drying undies & wintertime. We have lines strung up inside for winter & rainy times. So many advantages! You are saving a lot of electricity, and not throwing away handfuls of your clothing from the dryer lint catcher.

How are you all doing with the Teton Pass closure? Would it affect you in any way? That was a shock!! Many who work in Jackson live in Driggs. I saw that the road has been rerouted adding another hour to the commute. Will it be a problem with your out of home jobs? Or help it? Take care!!
