Something I'm a little surprised you didn't mention about Sean's alphabetical voting strategy was that more of Pagong had names starting with letters in the first half of the alphabet, while Tagi's names were generally later in the alphabet. So he basically got to contribute to the pagonging without looking bad. Admittedly I don't think he's ever confirmed that that's what he was going for, so maybe it was just a coincidence - but it was certainly convenient that he chose a voting strategy at the merge that would initially target only the other tribe. Anyway, great video, I came here from your Africa one - deserves more views!

I remember when they started Global Guts and I was hype because I thought these countries would be competing and, after a few weeks, there'd be a definitive country that won. But it kept going on, and on, and on, and on, and I just lost interest. It would have been cool though if they did an invitational some years later of the fastest Crag completionists.

silver snakes was my fav! Silver has always been my favorite color, which is why I rooted for them.

I watched the run of the Silver snakes and a Temple guard showed up in the ledges like WHOAH never seen that before

I have a vague memory as a kid of seeing a temple run where the kid spent what felt like the majority of the time in the Pit/Quarry room. I was expecting to see it here but now I’m wondering if I just imagined it. Maybe it was that last run since the bit of that girl on the ropes at the end seems familiar but I’m doubtful.

Over twenty years later, Mike falling in the fire is still maybe the greatest single episode of Survivor. You could watch that episode alone without ever seeing another Survivor episode and walk away deeply impacted.

I'm a weird one, I consider Emperor's New Groove a Renaissance era movie. Anything post 9/11 I count as post renaissance, it's when the positivism of the 90s ended.

The emperor's new groove has a 86% out of 135 critic reviews on rotten tomatoes, it looks to have gotten a largely positive reception. But promotion wasn't high enough and it was so different than the previous renaissance movies. Lilo & Stitch is the last true classic disney movie and yeah most audiences weren't wanting to see Disney do animated action movies

I already knew the Green Monkeys were number 1!! I always rooted for that team also in Season 1 literally the first couple of episodes they kept on procceding to the temple run!!

Silver Snakes all the way, but the green monkeys are my second favorite. Believe it or not, the green monkeys only BARELY tied the silver snakes in terms of successful temple runs. That episode being the lion headed bracelet of Chandragupta. At the temple games, the green monkeys faced off against the silver snakes with the snakes winning the first game and getting a tie in the second. At this point, the snakes have one full pendant while the monkey only have a half and will need to get at least a tie in the final game to enter the temple. The monkeys on the other hand needed to win otherwise they’ll be eliminated. In the end, the monkeys beat the snakes 8-7 and marginally wins the full pendant earning them a pendant and a half while the snakes had one full pendant. The green monkeys in that episode were also great sports as after they won, they gave hugs to the silver snakes knowing that they were just one point away from losing the right to enter the temple. Had the snakes won or tied, they would’ve went to the temple and would’ve more than likely gotten the treasure out, what with them having two pendants and all. I know what some of you are thinking: “the snakes didn’t make it out in the broken trident of Poseidon, so you don’t know this will be different”. Well you’re right. I don’t know, but here’s the thing. The green monkeys had two Ls at the temple that beat out the broken trident; the comet embroidered battle flag and the broken wing of Icarus. In the comet embroidered battle flag, not only did the second player move slower than the first, but in the room of the ancient warriors, he placed himself in all three armors despite the door already being unlocked after the first attempt. In the broken wing of icarus, what more is there to be said? He would’ve easily made it out had he not wasted time going down through the mandarin hand room and going farther down in the ledges.

Dishonorable mention goes to The Mysterious Manuscript of Mary Shelley. In that run, Blue Barracuda Larry had perhaps the worst silver monkey assembly attempt ever. The base was backwards, the torso was upside-down, and the head was sideways, and he never figured this out. He just kept trying to jam the head down until time ran out.

On my Fear Street shelf, I always put blind date first. It is the original fear Street book before Fear Street started. It needs the respect it deserves. I think it’s funny that the series is called ghost fear Street. Considering they were written by ghost riders.

In the revival, Dee Bradley Baker (as Olmec) finally got to call the Silver Monkey what we all wanted to but couldn’t because we’d be grounded for a week: “that damned statue.” Also, to be fair, they had to assemble it with the pieces pointing towards the camera (away from them), much like how from the perspective of contestants on Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego, they had to find the correct locations with the map upside down from their perspective so it appeared right side up on camera.

Silver snakes always

Ill always love Lex, even though he's not a suuuuper strong player and is very emotional. To me, he always seems like the most "average" person on Survivor (possibly ever). He really feels like a normal guy plucked off the street and put into this situation, and is trying his best to fight his way out even if he gets wrapped up in his own paranoia. Survivor is about highlighting the differences in personality and emotion, and I truly think we've never had an antihero quite like Lex before or since.
