Theory On Why Mr.Sandman Got So Bad In The Super Punch Out For SNES: As we can see almost every fighter from mtpo retired and full new circuit was created which indicates that a lot of time has passed from mtpo so with time because of age sandman lost grip of his fights and he lost many positions to new faces of aran ryan haike higgaro and mad clown and only managed to stay as major circuit champion taking this place in the fight with bald bull which fights similary to sandman but worse because he too got worse with time and because of that sandman became champion of major circuit but far from his glory days of 1st place in world circuit. Also Macho Man Didnt got shaken from his place because he started using new strategies with exercise programs and with that he managed to stand his ground as the champion of world circuit

Most of the super punch out cast lacks a developed personality, and the bruiser brothers don't even show anything in their looks. I like how Rick is the more upbeat personality and probably a party star, who pokes fun on his brother for being too serious, and Nick is his opposite, a methodical, efficient, powerful edgy dude who only cares about the win. I bet that if we get a punch out ultimate with all of the characters from the series, I'm sure it would change your opinion on them

My theory is that Glass Joe had luck and the lights of the boxing venue fell down and crushed Nick Bruiser. Regardless, both of them are badasses for somehow still being alife after 99 lost matches. Most people would be a mass of bloody chunks at that point.

Actually, Gabby Jay is the one who's too old to compete, Glass Joe still has a few more year's to fight. Also, are we going ignore that fact that Gabby is asking Mac to throw the fight just experience a hallow victory or Joe blaming Mac for his state of health when other's have beat his ass?

Okay, but the thing about Nick is that he isn’t even a freaking cartoon. He actually feels like…a real boxer. When you hit him in his face, he doesn’t make an expression. He’s just REALLY good at boxing! Mike Tyson is more cartoony than he is! But overall, I prefer Super Punch-Out!!’s characters to MKPO anyways, and it might just be my bias. But Nick Bruiser is a pretty cool character, if you really think about it.

Worth noting is that Super Punchout Sandman is the Major Circuit champion while Mike Tysons Sandman is a high ranking Major Circuit fighter. Also, Super Punch Out is in general a lot easier than Mike Tysons, especially if you know what you are doing and a much more fast paced game.

The fact that Gabby Jay is older than Glass Joe but stronger, braver, and less loss than Glass Joe. If you play punch out wii, Glass Joe’s record from now on is 1-101. Gabby Jay’s special is better and stronger and it takes longer to kill him than Glass Joe. Gabby Jay wins in my opinion.

My personal favorite fights in SPO are Heike Kagero, Super Macho Man, and Hoy Quarlow. Heike is just funny to me, same for SMM. But Hoy Quarlow is wildly illegal, but not annoyingly illegal to me like Mad Clown, just funny illegal.

I really like Nick Bruiser. He's stone cold. The Rick fight is over the second you figure out his moves. After round one you're basically set. Every Nick Bruiser round feels like a real battle to hold on.

I agree that Piston Hurricane is the most forgettable character in the game. His special move is nothing new, and he doesn’t do anything else that stands out. However, I think every other character has something unique and special about them. You said Aran Ryan was forgettable, but he takes the least amount of damage of all the fighters from regular jabs, and the most damage from super punches. Then, every time you super punch him, he tries to hug you, which transfers health from you to him. He’s a great character that takes time to figure out. Quarlow is also probably my favorite fight in the game. He’s the fastest and requires a really quick response from you. His KO animation, when he skips across the mat, is also really funny to me.

It seems strange to me that you said Bald Bull and Super Macho Man were done well in Super Punch-Out, but Mr. Sandman wasn’t. Your criticisms of Sandman could also be applied to Bull and Macho. The bull-charge is much easier to counter in SPO, as is Macho’s spin punch. And your complaints about counter-punching, dizziness, and quick KO’s could also be applied to Bald Bull and Macho. In fact, in Super Punch-Out, Mr. Sandman is the fight that lasts the longest in a speedrun. You can optimally beat Sandman in 13 seconds like you state, but Bald Bull can be beaten in 8 seconds, and Macho can be beaten in 9. Heck, even Nick Bruiser can be beaten faster than Sandman. So, I don’t understand why you’re singling out Sandman here, when really, the problems you seem to have are with the whole SPO game.

Well if you look at it this way he is less powerful then his opponents but the more you as the player played the game the better you got and you was able to find ways to knock out your opponents that fast it’s one thing if you do it right away every single time

You just explained the speed run strat, and just in general, times are longer in MTPO In fact! Sandman is actually the longest fight in super punch out as far as TAS goes, so idk dawg.

Yeah, they definitely made sandman so much worse in this game. I would have loved to see him and macho top the world circuit.
