The DKC Trilogy on GBA gave DK fans a boon while Nintendo was fixated on Bongo gimmicks on console. DKC 1 for GBA sold almost double what Jungle Beat sold on GameCube, so it was a wake up call to Nintendo that gamers genuinely wanted more Donkey Kong Country. We have DKC on GBA to thank for DKC Returns and Tropical Freeze coming into existence.

The anime is so good I would actually pay for a sequel in any form to be made(by any form I mean either an official manga, game or even anime itself)

I remember playing this game a couple of years ago and sadly I couldn’t it because like most RPGs the gameplay boring and repetitive to the point where I just lose interest in playing the rest of the game. I’m also not a fan of how off brand the Paper Mario series because TTYD and SPM has some characters and story aspects that look really out of place for a Mario game.

I'm not quite convinced that Nintendo decided to pull the plug on Donkey Kong. Don't forget that Retro Studios was working in something unknown long before they started to work in Metroid Prime 4, Nintendo also greenlit a 3D Donkey Kong game from Vicarius Visions but Activision pulled the plug on that shortly after the development started, there have been rumors for a few years that Nintendo is working in another Donkey Kong game. ...so, my guess is that DK had a bad streak because the projects that were planned for it gone wrong and got cancelled, but there is still a possibility that there is an ongoing project that didn't get cancelled.

I think there is a fault with the idea of "Nintendo's vision" vs fans vision: Paper Mario is developed by a third party(not Nintendo), they wanted to do a lot of stuff but Nintendo didn't allow them to do that. I think rather than having a vision, Nintendo wanted to protect their brand and what we got was the most that Nintendo allowed them to do.

Been replaying Tropical Freeze to get a relook and WOW! It’s an amazing platformer with such creative and fun sequences that even rival Mario Wonder today. Awesome vid man, can’t wait for more!

i started on back to nature ps1. A bit playing save the homeland and get bored because of you need to restart all of the interaction after ending. Played AWL and loved it. Then i grew up. So excited when SOS FOMT released, played it with the same formula as HM BTN back then. Feels nostalgic. I just bought SOS AWL from the last steam summer sale, and still playing it rn.

Personally, I can't see a timeline where Chibi-Robo ever found a big audience. It's kind of just a weird game with inherently niche appeal. I can't really blame Nintendo for not really making the effort in the western market.

4kids was technically was on by the Pokémon company at the time the Pokemon company sever their ties with them around to 2006 around the 90s all the way up to 2006 four kids was technically owned by the Pokémon company which means Nintendo who also owns the company is technically 4kids part of Nintendo, but not really they’re still independent but still and at the time round, funimation they sure did full metal alchemist oh one but still, they were technically a newbie anime studio this is the Nintendo kind of awful company for any other party or that isn’t part in Nintendo yeah, I doubt it allow funimation dub it

The original harvest moon was great and edgy as hell. You could get drunk, get in the hot tub with a girl, and they actually let you sleep with your wife.

I have a weird take here but why is the camera so close ever since harvest moon 64? I love that stardew has a proper zoomed out perspective just like Harvest Moon SNES. I think SV is the REAL sequel to the og hm, and they are the only two of these kinds of games I like.

I am currently playing Harvest moon 64 on the switch. Loving it. I think they really perfected everything withRune Factory for the DS. The first game was so fun, and I never finished the second game, but it was also awesome.

I do feel like Retro has been working on a DKC Returns sequel for some time. I also wouldn't be surprised if the big pitch on this one is the return of King K Rool and the Kremlings.

I wouldn't say DK doesn't have an identity. Most people tie Donkey Kong to the Donkey Kong Country lore. That kind of took over the brand and is still prominent. This was why King K Rool was so well received for Smash Brothers. He is considered the true villain even though he hasn't really made a mainline appearance since DK64.

Rhythm Heaven Fever is literally my favorite Wii game. It is a masterpiece.
