Should have put it on top of some wet epoxy. Also, you should get a weed burning torch. It would cover more area than a soldering torch.

hi Tim, thank you for the videos. They are really giving me new thoughts about how to repair and redecorate my outdoor walkway. There is one thing I may need your kind assistance with : I have to broaden and resurface my very old walkway first so they could be flat enough. Is it possible if I use the light grey color concrete to do the step then I just follow up with the taping and dark layers afterwards? Please advise. Thank you in advance ! 😊

Why didnt you just add a lip around the edge to act as a burm and then slightly over pour until level?

Is there anything that youtubers won't cover or encase in epoxy? This trend is already old.

Okay, but all I care about is why somebody wanted a great big saw blade permanently entombed in their floor.

Rich people shit. While kids starve, this turd spends tens of thousands to epoxy a giant saw blade in his floor

And in tens years when this fad is over, people will be complaining at how much of a pain it is going to be to remove all that shit. Wouldn't be surprised if the epoxy starts to seperate from the saw at some point.

More than a few mistakes were made here. 1. You should have made it offsite and in a controled environment like your workshop 2. It's almost definitely gonna crack due to metal being metal😅 and this looks awful thin of a PU resin layer

Overfill the square then use a floor sander, then floor buffer to level it.

Not overly crazy about installing them outdoors. We do everything we can to mitigate slip by using shark grip or silica broadcast into the top coat. We prefer to install double quartz broadcast outdoors with shark grip or use aliphatic urethane with silica broadcast as a top coat.

Not to tell you to do your job or anything but I think it would've looked cooler if you added a cover to the middle of the saw blade like you're initials or a poem to add esthetic to a plain saw blade.

I’m really surprised; you had a huge open space on the saw blade, where you could have painted any number of scenes on it; from a log cabin in the forest , to a mountain scene with a large lake. Looks really nice though!

my ass was puckered the whole time you were stripping the forms and flipping them over. you guys did a great job and they look spectacular. the only thing i would do different; pour them right side up. you can practically polish the concrete to a mirror finish while it is still wet and setting up. and you don't run the risk of cracking it when you flip it over. but everything is a learning experience and you definitely got valuable experience from doing this yourself. also, in this economy, and the price they want per bag of that stuff, i think i will mix it myself when i pour my countertops. wish me luck. and have a great day. 😃😎

As a fellow that has no experience in this kind of work.. in the square, could you not have cut out the diameter of the saw down equal to the thickness of the blade and then lay it down where it's level with your other 5x5 lowest point, then fill the square with the epoxy evenly? Just my inexperienced question
