Honestly, I was never able to take Cozyglow seriously like a villan. Tirek and Chrysalis are seen as more serious villans, because not only are they much older and more powerful, but they even have a background and reasons for their villainy. Cozyglow is a power hungery manipulative brat with no backstory and just wants power just for the sake of having power. So tell me, what about her is actually intimidating or a real threat? 🤨

Honestly I feel like the only reason she didn’t try to show her how to be better or give her another chance was 1. Because her crowning was coming up and if she gives her another chance she won’t be able to look after her which brings me to reason 2. The chance of Twilight forgiving Cozy Glow and Cozy Glow trying to become the most powerful pony in Equestria once more and trying something like a de-stoning spell or something while Twilight is so busy and out of her real mindset is too high and Cozy Glow is a little too powerful for her age so she might’ve just taken the only possible path since she can not have anything too dangerous happen while she has a blind spot and not just that I get that she is still a kid but she knew from the start the power of friendship and what it’s all about but still choose not to take that chance because she had everything at her hands she was close to Twilight and the others and she was taking Twilight’s School Of Friendship lessons so she knew what she was getting herself into it’s sad she took that route but there’s nothing we can do since what’s done is done ☹️

In my honest opinion, the relationship between the characters and their parents in this series (that's supposedly made for kids) is so terrible, that it makes me wonder: "why is there so much emphasis on friendship in this show, but so less or even no emphasis at all on family ties?" There are many episodes where I wonder "if a character losses their friend, will they be more sad than if they lost their family?!" In one episode (I forgot which season) Twilight's parents invite her to go with them along with her brother, his wife and their baby to a trip/vacation (I guess), instead of being excited about the trip, the very first thing she says goes like: "how am I supposed to do my princess duties?"... Bruh what? In another episode, Rainbow Dash gets injured and has to stay in the hospital for a few days, but guess who is the first visitor? Is it her mother? Her father? No! It's her friends.... Ughhh And the list goes on Ps: I know that some might say "but they are not children anymore, they are adults", and so what??? Just because you are over a certain age (to us humans it's 18 in most countries) that doesn't mean that you forget about your parents who took care of you while you were a child (I know that not everyone had a good childhood, and it's the parents fault, not yours. But still)

Yup, and Homelander was smarter in seasons 1-3 than he is in 4, he was immortal in seasons 1-3, and he was nuke level. Oh and he can move at, at least Mach 70 because show homie is more powerful than comic homie according to the show’s main writer and runner. Except that barely makes any sense with what we have seen in the series. Comic Homelander could casually move at Mach 70, but show Homelander couldn’t fly everyone back to mainland during flight 37 despite it being easy and the benefits it would bring? But then there is evidence that Show Homie is more powerful than Comic homie because he can survive a nuke while comic homie would die from one? The point is, show creators don’t understand their own show, and will spend years developing a series only to fuck up and get things wrong when they start saying shit about it online or during an interview.

i think the biggest part of why the story of G5 was that a good portion of the development team were dedicated G4 fans who had to contest with the restrictions of picky executives, rigid writing standards and censors, design rights, and companies ultimately putting merchandising opportunities above everything else. Running in overlapping circles with the people who worked on the design and story teams, I've seen a lot of different perspectives about these things too. Too many conflicting interests between companies and creatives. G4 even had issues with development due to lapsing copyrights for certain designs, such as the one that inspired twilight sparkle. The difference was the team had more creative freedoms and didn't let prior stories completely take over the project. The characters and locations may have been familiar but the stories were detached and entertaining. Of course we got nostalgic call backs such as the shmooze, Tirek, and Grogar, but they hadn't come along until the series had solidly cemented itself a place in modern media. There have been talks about the story of G5 being different before having to be changed, being deemed too serious in tone as well, lending me more to believe the overarching companies had more to do with its failures than anything else. The necessity of creating a new cash cow like G4 without wanting to take the risks that G4 did and the development teams' story suffering from it, ultimately refusing to try when it wasn't as immediate of a hit as the last generation. The only big risk they took was the jump from 2D to 3D, which I still haven't been fond of due to the obvious restrictions they had, knowing the decline in quality from the movie to the show itself you had mentioned. The writing itself was at its best when it was intended to be conflicting, yet relatable, and able to stand on it's own. Misty's development arc was touching and added interpersonal stakes to the story outside of "oh no, we won't have magic anymore", intending to be good life lessons as well. It was a good choice to focus on her struggles and I wish the teams could have done more like that. Of course, anything can be taken with a grain of salt as I'm just friends of friends of people, I've never gotten to talk directly to anyone involved, but restrictions and censoring are always the biggest contenders in situations like this.

Interesting ideas. I personally had Twilight dying shortly after her conflict with Opaline. The crystals were dispersed by sympathetic members of the Night Guard, the Batponies ironically being the last Equestrians to stay true to the ideals of friendship.

All the stallions have a plain eye color and usually the mares have that streak in their eyes. A lot of mares dont have the streaks and spike, shining armor and more stallions have the streaks that usually biological females have.

I think what is going on with this is several things. as far as rights Hasbro has the main right. however g4 and g5 are being made by different studios so it could be the g4 studio is the problem. story wise it was dumb to connect to g4 with this potential rights issue and more that truly explain how thigns got to this point. G4 ends with Twilight in charge of a properous Equestria with strong bond not only to the pony tribes but the other races as well. now would their be challenges to that, of course but for thigns to end up with all alicorns MIA, the tribes not only out of contact with the other races but back to Pre Equestria standings. which begs why aren't their windegos around. they can't all be gone.nor are they any familiar places. I honestly think the writers for G5 wanted pure reboot but Hasbro said no must be same universe as G4 but the writers are not good enough to make them connect well.

Nobody drawing attention to Kerfuffle's missing leg was the right thing to do. None of the characters even looked at it, and that was the best decision the staff could have made in that regard.

I still say to this day that Cozy Glow should not have been a villain to begin with. Why the writers did this I'll never understand. And there's no real or true motive as to why she became an evil filly. She just is and she's pen pals with Tirek? This was the one thing the writers did that I didn't approve of. Chancellor NaySay should have been the true villain of season 8 and 9. Not Cozy Glow.
