Pick the Right Follow Modes for Video with DJI Osmo Pocket 2
In order to create smooth, stabilized videos with the DJI Osmo Pocket and the Pocket 2, you have to know which follow modes work best for the videos you are creating.
In this video, I'll show you which of the three follow modes to choose for your video. I'll show you Follow Mode, Tilt-Lock Mode, and FPV mode. I'll also give you some examples of which mode to use for different shots you may want to do with your Osmo Pocket or DJI Pocket 2.
Once you master knowledge about these three follow modes, you'll be able to get faster at getting the videos you want while on the go!

It took me a while to get the gimbal modes or what DJI calls follow modes because I went from photos, to video. You add a gimbal head to a lens and you have to think of not only filming motion, but also a lens that moves in 3 spatial planes! Thanks for watching and happy filming!

Glad this helps! Take your time learning. A gimbal is a different beast, but once you learn how to use it and hone in on what you're trying to film, you'll get great results. Practice, and you will get faster too!

Yes! Don’t bring an extending selfie stick to WDW as they don’t allow them. You’ll have a great camera set up, and if you’re in low light, sometimes your phone is a great back up because the pocket’s sensor only does usable video up to ISO 400. Have fun!

Many thanks for such a nice explanation! I have just started filming with my Pocket 2 and I was at lost with it, I mean about what mode I should use (I'm recording street scenes only). I tried all modes: FPV, Tilt and Follow, and was still trying to figure out how it really works. After your good explanation, now I know that the Follow and, perhaps, the Tilt modes are the most suitable to my recordings. Cheers!

I’m NEW to film 🎥 and super new to incredible cameras such as this one. But nobody else on KZfaq was explaining these modes and displaying them the way you did in your video.
