fwiw, this can be done with the wheels on the car and entirely from the trunk. i like ramps for this job since the shock bolt should be torqued with the vehicle on the ground.

Has anyone tried pouring a little vinegar or liquid plummer down the drain? Seems like if vinegar cleans out the calcium on a coffee maker it might work on this. I'd be interested if any one tries it.
I tried that through the top with my 03 IS3O0 Sport Design, my passenger sunroof hose it super clogged! the weed wacker live only goes half way down. Should I start from the bottom?

Man, this is a lot of work and special tools needed. I need to replace my steering angle sensor and was thinking of doing this job but this looks like a pain in the rear. I have a little bit of play in my steering but I am hoping the new steering angle sensor will help with that. Mind you, mine is a 2002 M3. Thoughts?

The ring @11:09 is not suppose to lay across the centre pin. The pin could easily slip out. Rotate it 90°

You can also throw the bushings in the freezer for a few hours and they will shrink just enough for you to push them into the arm, after a while they will expand again when they return to normal temperature and you can just push in the metal sleeve into the bushing

Just use coffee cleaner, or CLR calcium cleaner and poor it down the tubes, then use compressed air.

Important note: those 12 bolts for the metal reinforcement plate are supposed to be replaced after removal. They are torque-to-yield EDIT: btw, since I am doing this now, the specs for these bolts are 59 Nm/44 ft-lbs + 90° + 30° (from the Bentley manual). This is important for your subframe rigidity, as I understand it

If it’s leaking the drains are plugged they are not meant to be sealed they have drains that run down into weirs and wonderful places 😂 you buy lil brushes and wire to snake into them

After you hit it with the wire, run a shop vac on the drain tube to suck all that muck out.

The Kouki is still way ahead in looks, Zenki's are just cheaper because no one really wants them. Which is why you see more of them around.

If anyone can give me some tips, My daily driver is a 1989 320i e30, 3.91 open small diff, its whinning like crazy and i cant find other to change it here in Romania, what can I do?
@Pdgrzb5 ай бұрын
1. don't daily drive E30 (I'm in the same boat unfortunately) 2. you can source small type 168 diffs from E36 compacts (which there is plenty of in Romania I am sure) as they interchangable or you can upgrade to big case type 188 diffs from E34 with mounting adapter, just make sure you reseal it and change the oil inside it before you mount it
