Sunroofs on early bimmers are a nightmare! I picked up an '00 M5 a while back and realized the previous owner didn't tell me the sunroof was broken. I failed to test it but still?!Lame. I set off to repair it....it turned into me removing the entire 'cassette' from the car which was a nightmare. Lots of little plastic tabs and pieces to break. Removed the entire cable and replaced these plastic slider tabs that BMW thought were a great choice for something that would be opened and closed thousands of times. Anyhoo.... thankfully I fixed it but I've been to afraid to actually open the sunroof ever since. My goal was to get it closed properly and never touch it again for fear it wouldn't cycle properly and immediately shatter all the new parts. Still love the car though I've sunk many $$$ into it including all new bushings, arms, ball joints, motor/trans mounts, thermostat. Recently pulled the 10,000 lb diff out and did the mounts and prop shaft CV. I honestly enjoy all the work for some strange reason. Currently finishing an S52 rebuild for my '97 M3....will be doing that swap in the next week or two. All ARP hardware, new bearings, lifters, valves etc. Stewart water pump. JB 10lb flywheel. Baffled sump. Can't wait to take it out on the track! Love you content, guys. What's the plan for the E30 motor? M20?

We never got the E30 M3 in S.A,as such, BMW S.A decided to give us a 325iS(coupe like yours,with Mtech2 kit and a lovely 2.7l motor with an ///Alpina fiddled head. Some 145kw M20 goodness and amazing suspension).These are now a bit rare and highly sought after by thieves.Most who have em only drive em to car meets and keep em locked away after. Sad really.

13:56 alternatively you could put a rubber o-ring/gasket on the bolt so that when it's sandwiched between the spoiler and boot lid, it creates a neat watertight seal.

Did you drill the rocker panel before installing the side skirts? You need to in order to fit the mounts where side skirt is “hanging on”. We never saw that. In fact, all you need to do is follow the graphs in the ETK to install m-tech2 kit... that’s what I did some 15years ago... oh, by the way, the ring around your right inner headlight is the one made to fit the headlight washer blade... so, this doesn’t match with the rest... it smells like a wrong part replacement there...
