OPenToonz is very very nice! Adobe Animate is a platform. Today, it seems to be very nice to use, I even use more than Illustrator because it makes more sense in vector design. The capability to change colors, bones, bind etc... Makes Animate a very strong platform.

I’ve been using blenders 3D and Grease Pencil features a lot! If you’re good enough, you can even achieve mixed animation like Tag Team or 2D animated rigs. I love creating 2D animations and I love modeling too, so it was awesome making stuff with it!

i do not care how good harmony is, i am not paying for a subscription the reason why i despise subscriptions for art/animation programs is because i cant get a free download version of it to test out the mechanics, if it fits my preferences or not. but no, i HAVE to use a credit card to get it. even if it has a free 1 month or whatever, i could be scammed if the program looks too complicated for me. i have NEVER animated in my life and only drew, but after seeing gorgeous masterpieces from the likes of Yutaka Nakamura and other amazing animators inspired my young stupid brain to try it out, but seeing all these overwhelming tabs, mechanics, tools, settings, and all of this overwhelms me and demotivates my sensitive ass on even picking up on making animations, as if it's throwing me back into firealpaca where all i can do is doodle the world's shittiest art that takes 2 hours just to draw the body what im (sort of) trying to say is that im scared, REALLY scared, from all of these stuff overwhelming my screen. i just want to be able to make cool fight scenes or just animate something nice in general, but the overwhelming process of even the most simplest animation softwares (hell even flipnote lol) makes me crawl back into my hidey hole but still, this is a great video overall, and i'll try my best to try making even just a 8 frame animation (or is that considered too small lol)

I hate the cps ui, i really don't know if it's just me because i don't see many people complaining about it, but for me it's horrible. One software that is missing for animation is krita, which is a direct competitor and from what I saw in the video is better for animation (I don't really know if it's better, it just looks like it from what I saw). Blender honestly I think it should be in the B range, it has a huge learning curve, but as you said it has literally everything, as for crashes I've had like 3 this year, but I don't use it that intensively but you don't need to use the latest version either, you can use the lts.

Ive been using animate since 9th grade! You can get audio, you drag it in, and it's on that layer :D You just need to asd frames you can also scrub the audio as well.

You didn't even try to give an in depth analysis of half of these softwares. You literally opened animate for the first time in years, seemingly messed around in it for a few hours and said it "looks like it's optimized." or "looks like its a clean UI." What a useless video.

CSP is more for professional internet gifs.

You can drag audio in the timeline of adobe animate, but you need to draw it in to the canvas, then it appears in the timeline, then you can chose if what kind of play you need to the audio, you can even autolipsinc characters with it

Clip studio's is absolutely hell for me! From my view point everything is so complicated for me and there's so many buttons, Export sucks, And so does the audio, cause I can't even import audio..Also what's with the Adding you're own time laps???

Harmony is super expensive if you're not a student 800$ a year when you're not making money doing animation is a bit .. yeah I wish there was an individual tier for the people who can't afford or don't know if they wanna fully commit to animation yet, making the software too expensive like this will definitely prevent people from even trying to learn it.

You can also composite in Harmony like Blender but your need the most advanced version

clipstudio paint is filled with useless tools in my opinion (3d models are useful, textures are...so and so. thats about how much of the extra useful tools i could think of that other softwares dont have) i wish they would add a feature to minimize the amount of unnecessary tools in the ui for both illustration and animation (even more on animation) because its very overwhelming same reason why i procrastinate learning blender. if i wanna illustrate then i only need the basics similar to how ibispaint x (the Goat that has balance of everything needed for illustration ...minus the 3d models tho.... pc version is dogwater), sai tool paint, medibang paint pro (both of them are too minimum for my liking but they get the job done)

I love the first software. The only time it may crush is due to either you as person gets tired. And it cost effective. 😊
