I think the ai comparison to a hot pocket is a little dishonest, its more like a drum machine, nobody thinks a drum machine can replace a real drum set, but the drum machine still has its place and music and becomes something new, no longer representing the same quality a real drummer provides

Id say your comparison is very dishonest. A drum machine you still have to program the beats, samples, and rhythms via the software. Youre still creating something with your knowledge. AI gen beats would steal the already produced beats by others and shit out an amalgamation of what you typed (why do you think musicians hate ai, its taking theyre work without their permission and turning it into hot pocket music). Ai gen images you just type in a prompt, and get a mushy image of others people work. Youre sticking something in the microwave and typing the time quite literally. Its not a good product, its just simply a product.

@@elhombrechorizo Man, idk about that. I've been working with AI for a while now and only just started getting usable images. It takes a lot more then just a prompt to get good images. Mid journey and dalle and stuff like that fit your description, but Stable Diffusion takes a lot more time to get right. That gives you the flexibility to achieve exactly what you want. It's definitely a tool, it isn't a product.

Brother… that isnt a tool lmao If you still have to fix up an image and put x amount of work into it, youre using TOOLS to fix the PRODUCT that was given in stable diffusion. I dont have to use my screwdriver to make sure my hammer works so I can hit the nail in. I just hit the nail with the hammer and get the end product of nail in wall. Stable diffusion ships out walls with nails already in them. But it sounds like the nails werent put in the best so you have to use your TOOL (the hammer) to fix it up. I have nothing against digital hot pockets, like I said I love hot pockets and they have their place in society. I could potentially make an elevated dish with an elevated hot pocket, just like you could potentially use an ai mush to make something thats interesting. But im adjusting those PRODUCTS to be better than intended Do you get what Im saying

@@elhombrechorizoBy the way, in no way am I saying using AI is better then hand animation or drawing. All I'm arguing is that it's a bit more technical and can definitely be used as a tool.

@@Gilzing If it was made with the intent of both programmer and artists where they worked together to make a tool, yes. But thats not how it was built at all or will ever be built. That would require the programmers to split profits of their work with the artists. They built these algos so companies can buy their algorithms at an insane price with constant royalties (instead of paying a ton of people a lot of money, send that half that money to one guy tehy save money, one guy gets a bunch of money) to make as much money as possible. Its made with the intent to replace artists and uses many peoples artwork (without their permission) to get their generators to work.
