Yup, it's all about the smaller tires. It's been stated in numerous reports, and explained in other cars the same way. So the LE has 16 inch tires, and that's why it's the only one of the four that gets the better mpg. Also, make sure you get the oil changed multiple times in the first 5,000 miles. That's the break in period in which once all the metal gets out of the system, then you'll continue with better mpg, and less wear on the engine. You'll also lose mpg the farther down you get from half tank. I never understood that, but it holds true in most cars that I've owned.
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS 3 күн бұрын
Yeah... I've definitely come to that conclusion that I need lighter wheels and tires. And this fuel mileage has never been attained since that weekend. Lol. As far as the oil change. I've definitely done that. And I have a video showing the oil analysis break down with the metal in the oil after my first oil change at 2200 miles. I'm at 13k miles now and I've changed it 3 times already. (changed it the 3rd time at 11,600.

Is 91 octane recommended? The manual says 87 octane (or higher) but is it worth putting in 91?
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS 4 күн бұрын
I don't see any advantage to running a higher octane... But I have thought about trying it to see if there is a fuel economy difference. We have 87, 89 and 93 here. 89 is usually enough for even stuff that I've tuned that has more timing in it. But it would be a test you could try out and then do the math to see if it's worth it. With the price gap on different octances nowadays, I don't think any gain will ever justify the price.

I am looking at getting an XLE, but debating between that or the accord. Anyone on here have a similar debate? What drew you over one way or the other? @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS any feedback on the time you owned? Seats comfortable for long stretches at a time?
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS 10 күн бұрын
I'm in the seat all day long pretty much. I get out a few times a day, but mostly stay in it. I also just recently got back from a long road trip. The time in the seat was just fine. Not uncomfortable at all... When I was looking for a car, it had to be a hybrid for what I do. If it wasn't, it would've been a 10 year old car that got worse fuel economy but didn't have anywhere near the payment on it. At first glance, there are tons of hybrids. Many brands have their own... But I learned they all do them differently. So I started researching who had the best. It came down to Toyota and Honda like yourself. Then I had to learn the differences. So I watched a video from The Car Care Nut, and he showed the 2 brands side by side and discussed their differences. While they're both great brands for quality and long life, from what I gathered from that video is I would have less issues in long life(500k+ miles) with the Toyota. That and I liked the styling of the Camry better. I felt like the Accord took a step back in looks. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I just hope I made the best decision for me and will know in a few years if I got a good one or not.

Chad. Thank you so much for doing these videos. I bought a LE 25 and so far I love it. Following your videos it is like a deep dive into owning the car, doing the maintenance, sharing experiences, like the pothole from the other day, etc. Since you do ride share basically you are testing out the reliability of this car at an accelerated pace. I also plan to have this car for at least 7 or more years, and your in-depth videos are the best tool that I can have to go through the life of this vehicle that I love and own. Please whenever you have some updates in maintenance tips, let us know so we can learn from your experience. Also, I wanted to ask you if you are able to see the energy flow monitor (diagram or animation of how the hybrid system works, regenerates, and sends power to the other components) on the multimedia big screen. I know we are able to see it on the digital cluster, But I think this was a problem with the software on the car, because on the owner's manual page 114, they mention that this energy flow monitor can be seen on the multimedia screen, from the vehicle tab. currently, it only shows. 1) Climate. 2) Trip information 3) Vehicle alerts. I like to drive efficiently and I would love to have this tool on my multimedia screen, hopefully, they update the software on the Camry so they can Include this. To my knowledge the Corolla 2023, 2024 have this feature on the big screen and are almost the same new Toyota software. Sorry for this long comment and again thank you for your videos, Sir.

@@JamaicanMeCrazy for me... Absolutely! 💯 I sometimes run my car down until it only has a couple of gallons in it. And if it's extremely busy when I need a recharge. I'd rather be out in 5 minutes and back making money, vs waiting 30-45 minutes to be able to go again.

Hi, a silly question but i got my 2025 camry 2025 SE hybrid and got upgraded to the 12.3 inch dash. Where or how do i see the total mileage in mpg from day 1. I have trip a and trip b but they show only miles and average miles/h. not the mpg. can't see any settings / buttons for that.

I'm unsure what you're asking for... So are you trying to find the fuel mileage for the entire time you've owned the car? The only way I can think to do that is if you knew how much gas you've bought and the miles on the car and calculate it. Or are you talking about just seeing the display for the fuel mileage like mine shows on the left side?

I heard the panoramic roof makes the cabin more noisy from the wind and road. Also, It doesn’t handle the cold/heat very well. How is the cabin noise in your car and how do you like it?
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS 21 күн бұрын
Cabin noise is extremely quiet because of the acoustic glass. I'm assuming they used it up there as well. As far as the heat, it's definitely noticeable when the sun is out beaming. I keep the canopy closed when I'm driving. I'm about to get it tinted as well. Help block out more sun rays.

mpg comes down to mostly weight
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS 21 күн бұрын
More of the weight of the wheels and the difference in tire width/compound/rolling resistance. The weight added to the car is negligible. Because if that was the case, every time you had a car full of people, you'd lose 6-8 MPG.

What range do you get on a full tank?
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS 22 күн бұрын
It depends on how I drive... My fuel mileage varies and I'm not getting anywhere near the advertised fuel mileage. First weekend I was around 44, now it varies between 38-40 MPG. It's an 11 gallon tank. My fuel economy varies because I rarely shut the car off, so at times I'm sitting around with the AC on and waiting on my next ride. So it could possibly get better, I'm just unsure until I can do different types of testing on longer trips. Probably a future trip I'll make should be all one long highway trip and fill it up before I leave and when I get there 400 miles later. Then I'll truly know what my highway mileage is.

@@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS no I meant when you fill up the tank what does the computer say you get in terms of range? Does it say 400 miles/500 etc.
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS 22 күн бұрын
@@destroyerofsimps6574 it's constantly changing based on the fuel mileage I'm getting. If my fuel mileage is lower, the next time I fill up it'll be lower. I've seen 511 one time when I had much better fuel mileage. But now that my mileage has dropped 5 mpg it is usually around 450ish. I don't pay attention to that. I just check my fuel mileage to see if I got better or worse. The mpg on the dash is always around 1mpg too high.

Hey how far you can go on a full tank of gas?
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS 22 күн бұрын
For me, around 450 miles. My fuel mileage isn't quiet as good as advertised. That's at 11 gallons roughly and according to Toyota it's got 2 more gallons. So theoretically well over 500. It really depends on the fuel mileage you're able to get. My fuel mileage hasn't hit the numbers I even had in a previous recording since the first weekend at 2000 miles. It's been around 40 MPG which is disappointing, but others with the same model say they're getting the advertised fuel economy.

@@Mohagrus correct.... And it's the best way to make sure you don't run out of fuel. Knowing it has 2 more gallons is helpful if you know where you're going to get gas... Up in Nashville the gas varies by about 20-25 cents at different Shell stations. The one I go to is about 20 miles from my camper, but it's close to downtown where I drive a lot.
