So why are there so many religions all claiming their unique route to God? The answer is that they are all man-made fairy tales mostly written in an age when world literacy was low and the knowledge of science, mathematics and the universe was much less than it is today. Even today we know very little about it, but enough to debunk many of these so-called religious myths. There is obviously a creative force at work which is beyond human comprehension. Everything in our world is finite; it must have a beginning; and end; a boundary. We cannot grasp the concept of infinity which underlines our insignificance in the universe. So why do most religions try to imagine God/Gods as super-human(s), living up there in the sky somewhere? Absolutely ridiculous. Did you realise that the first Christian bible was published 400 years after Christ’s death? All the multifarious stories were passed along by word of mouth. No one knew anything about Christ until he was 30 years old and 3 years later, he was crucified. All the stuff about 3 wise men, being born in a stable, a guiding star, Angels coming down and all of the other tales are man-made fairytales. For humans, love is natural and has no boundaries or human control. We all look for love, and when it comes it is magic, irrespective of gender. Hate is taught.

There are many homosexuals who think that by praying they can become free of their sexual orientation. Sometimes it works, but often it doesn't. It is often a wrong expectation that you can become free of your sexual orientation. It is a human trait that you can be attracted to people. There are different people and we have different preferences. It is normal that you can find people of your own gender beautiful, and more beautiful than the opposite gender. I see so many gay christians struggling with their sexuality, it makes me sad. It's not the easiest way to give up your gay lifestyle. It is important to make the right choice to be saved. It is a choice between eternal life and death. Be willing to give up your life to receive eternal life. (Lucas 9:23-24) Stay strong, believe in yourself! Jesus return is near Love you 🩷 🏳️‍🌈 ✝️ 🙏

Evangelical Christians will smile in your face and say, "WE hate the sin, not you!" Then they stabb you in the back when you're not looking. They are the biggest hippocrates of all.

Do you know there is more to Christianity than the form you grew up with? You do not have to choose between your faith and an authentic life.

*"IT'S WRONG! Why? Because my Bronze Age book of folklore says it is, that's why!"* *And no, I'm not talking about a same sex, loving, committed relationship. Nowhere does the Bible even address that... I'm talking about touching a menstruating woman. Leviticus 15:19-33*

Could it be that the denomination you belonged to was not very "Christiam"! You stated tjhat there was no abuse from your parents, would their belonging to a church that condemned you for your homosexuality a form of abuse? You need to find a Christian debinubatuib that will embrace you and your sexual oriendtation! Good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Your story is my story… I'm a bit older than you but I went through the exact same thing as you... I would encourage you to come to terms with the fact that you can be a Christian and be gay… God doesn't hate you… the Bible actually says very little about the subject in the context of the whole scripture… It's very minute compared to so many other things it talks about… I finally realize that all the fighting and begging God was useless… It's like God's voice one day said to me "I know the deepest darkest places in you because I'm God… You think you can fool me and fake the fact that you're attracted to men? I know I've always known and I still love you "the world is a fallen place so there's lots of things that are not the way they're supposed to be but we can rest in the grace of God… I have found after leaving my faith for many many years a place in a local United Methodist Church where people are loving and accepting and allow me to live out my faith with some really amazing people and serve God and learn read the Bible pray together and most of all serve together and doing the good things that I've always thought being a Christian was about… Making the world a better place and building the kingdom of God here… Keep living your story… You are an amazing person!

You are fighting a battle that many gay men fight. Religion vs your sexuality. I fought it for a long time. Then I read an article by a nun that was a lesbian, and she shared about her journey fighting against being gay and finally accepting it. She came to the conclusion that being gay was a gift from God, it all depended on how you used it, how you lived your life. That was eye opening for me. In time, I realized that I was gay and there wasn't anything I could do about it. It was simply a fact. And it wasn't the end of the world. Now, I do my best to live a good life and I don't worry about religious things. Religion stopped working for me. I have been with my partner for 24 years and life is good. When I learned to dump the christian guilt and embrace life, things got better.

Different Christian churches accept and embrace LGBT people. MCC: Metropolitan Community Church is gay founded. United Methodist Church. United Church of Christ. You don’t have to choose one or the other. The church is the issue not your sexual orientation.

That's your mind playing tricks. For some people; What is well known in psychiatry, is that part of your brain goes to sleep (you're paralysed from sleep) but you are still conscious. You have a nightmare and can't do anything about it, but you are fully aware. It can be induced. It's not real!

The bible in its purpose is not true. Contradictory and nasty. It's falsely interpreted from original scrolls anyway. They never wrote about homosexuality.

If u think u can practice homosexuality and represent Christianity at the same time then u really need to study Christianity. One of the struggles a Christian has is against himself - whatever u have been through u needed to pick up that cross and carry it to the finish line we all struggle please do not compromise ur faith.

Why is it that you zealots can't ever seem to shut up about the two subjects Jesus NEVER addressed : homosexuality and abortion? You'd think if they were THAT important He'd at least have mentioned them... He did, however, have a LOT to say about divorce and remarriage being adultery. Something scads of people packed into your pews know more than a little about. If you want to follow Jesus' example, go to stockholders' meetings and talk about camels and what they don't fit through. Or speak on how immoral it is for churchgoers to have entire wardrobes--- while their neighbors are cold for lack of a coat.

Hi Brandon, you are a handsome man with a wonderful personality. And you're GAY! :) I'm a gay man too. I wish you the best. Look for a United Methodist Church with a Reconciling Ministry. You'll be happy there; I am. Remember, you have a wonderful sexual orientation, not a proclivity. Best wishes with your relationship with your honey.

I am really sad about all the comments I am reading. You cannot be gay, and a Christian. If you have a true heart repentance, if you have the Holy Spirit working in your life, then he is going to convict you of all sins all things in your life that you need to change about yourself. The Bible says that homosexuality is an abomination of his perfect creation you’re going to hate the sin you’re going to struggle and not want to do this if you are a true born again Bible believing, holy spirit filled Christian . The Bible says come as you are, but you don’t get to remain as you are we have to change. We are to be like Jesus. The Bible says to not win the whole world and lose your soul and brother. I am sorry, but your soul is in danger of eternal, damnation, repent of your sin, walk away from homosexuality, and come back to Jesus.

The Bible doesn't address homosexuality. It's a modern concept about a sexual and affectional preference. The word itself didn't exist until a century and a half ago. I was homosexual long before I engaged in sex with anyone.

Your gayness is completely normal. Being indoctrinated by a church is not normal. Feel no guilt; you be you. And even if you DO believe in a loving god, believe that HE made you the way you are. Perfect in every way.

I knew I was different at a young age, too. I grew up strict Catholic, and I tried to "pray away the gay" in my teens. I suffered with depression in my late teens and early 20s. I never acted on my impulses and didn't come out until I was 40. I stopped going to church but never stopped believing in God or praying. I finally saw that I was okay with the way God made me. I haven't read it, but it's been recommended: The Children Are Free: Reexamining the Biblical Evidence on Same-sex Relationships. All the best. 🤗❤

Brandon If you haven’t seen David Archuleta‘s coming out story as a Mormon, he goes through very similar struggles. You know David Archuleta from a season seven finalist for American Idol. He’s gone on worldwide tour by himself and has become a person who standing up for LGBTQ people in faith they can blend he’s a powerful storyteller you need to watch his video . This is one of David’s first songs he wrote what it was like to be free of the shame and guilt, and except who he was and still have his faith kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gq2Zm6qosdjZlIU.htmlsi=GDb0A3J72_aau9p8

Brandon, thank you for sharing your story. I want to share with you what a youth leader told me many years ago when I was in youth group in high school I think she knew I was gay before I knew I was gay. She pulled me aside and said “Jeff, I want you to remember this - God created you to be just as you are no more know less he already knows what your sexual preferences he intended that don’t let anybody tell you different.” Brandon, you are not less because you’re gay perhaps you are more because you are gay. You need to watch the movie 1946 I’ll put a link to the trailer below. It talks about when the word homosexuality was first introduced into the revised standard version of the Bible hence the the title “1946” Be kind, be gentle, be unconditionally, loving to everyone be authentic learn to love yourself for who God created you to be it’s hard getting the teachings out of your head that you learn as a child. It’s hard to unlearn that stuff but you have to in order to move your spirituality to the next level . 1946. Blessings, Brandon.🙏🙏 www.1946themovie.com

We have pretty much the same story. Grew up not identifying all the way with guys. Love hanging with girls. Was super flamboyant until 8th grade. That’s when I started noticing boys in the locker room vs girls. 9th grade I went the super quiet route so people couldn’t pick up me being “different” All the while going to church trying to pray the “gay” away. Dated girls and thought getting married to the one right girl would get rid of these desires. Read books and considered going to an Exodus conference to change my orientation. Proposed to one girl and was turned down. Best rejection ever. Many years later I am now accepting this ain’t changing and at the beginning of 2023 I said no more fighting. Let me get in the flow…as soon as I did that God started speaking to me even more. I have peace, joy, freedom now that I have come out to myself. Looking to get into a relationship that God has spoken to me about and when the time is right, will come out to whoever else I feel needs to know. I think a big reason why more of us are becoming comfortable in claiming our sexuality and Christianity is for Gods live to be demonstrated. We aren’t demon possessed, mentally-ill or sinning if we are producing the fruit of the spirit and keeping true to our orientation. In fact, I would argue we are living our truest highest lives by being totally truthful with who we are attracted to. Thanks for sharing
