So, there's no battery required for the Tri-mode wireless? That seems pretty odd, although no one has ever mentioned a battery being required. I understand that it's a received... but doesn't it also need to transmit the key signals? How does it communicate?

Correction: Someone DID mention the batteries. Of course it needs batteries. It's not (quite) magic!

Glad you enjoyed! I’m lazy and kept it as the final sound test I recorded. Which was the IVWorks switches with full foam. But i was really surprised with how good the oil kings, alu plate and no foams was. I would keep the case foam in to prevent case ping from the stabilisers, but otherwise I think no foams sounds amazing in the ergo.

Hey mate, nice video! To be clear though - the tenting is not neo's idea. This is quite a popular idea at the moment thanks to 7v designer Gok, from New Zealand, who has been tirelessly prototyping his Type-K for 4 years to make it perfect. The Neo Ergo is a fantastic board, I even picked one up, but although this is not a "cash grab", they are still clearly cashing in on the conversation and excitement started by Gok & the people he worked with to bring us the Type-K.

I really appreciate the review and the time you took on this. I pre-ordered it almost the second I could. Knowing I'd never afford the Spring, I opted for a Record Alice as my first Alice experience (outside of random brief encounters in the 2000's on cheap membrane boards). I was instantly hooked. I wasn't, however, instantly "good" but it was well worth the time. I'm glad you've enjoyed this and that, based on what I've seen, it meets the expectations that it set out to. Keep the great videos coming!

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was always in the boat of ergo keyboards being a bit too ‘weird’ but now that I’ve had the opportunity to type on one, combined with the quality neo produces, I definitely see the appeal.
@StillthatguyJakeАй бұрын
@dill-keebs Absolutley! They are not for everyone. I still think I type faster on a standard board but I get less fatigue over time on ergo. I'm glad they offered the wrist rest as the chin is mighty high. I think the lowest Alice chin I have is the M6 and it is different entirely...and not tented.

Great video mate. I recently have been watching a lot of content on this board. I ended up biting and ordered the grey to go with my Dualshot 2 keycaps. I am personally impressed by the quality of the keyboard, especially considering the price. This will be my first in this style so it will take me some getting used to, but I do tend to type very by the book (I still follow the way I learned to type in class with all my fingers being used). Anyway, great video. I like the flow of it and the chapter by chapter separation.

@lawbinsonАй бұрын
@@dill-keebs The original HHKB actually wasn’t Topre. So, be careful! The HHKB Professional (1) was the first one with it but they’re quite difficult to find nowadays since a lot of people like the feeling of aged Topre domes. If I had to recommend one to start with, I’d recommend one of the Hybrids since you can customize the layout a bit as well using their software. If you already know that you’ll be able to fully adjust to the traditional HHKB layout, then the HHKB Pro Classic is a good option as well. Looking forward to one day seeing your video on it :) Cheers

Nice board I have 2 M65-B boards as well. Just want to add. After 3 years of experimenting with almost every switch available and contrary to many people saying they're scratchy etc... The Novelkeys creams are easily my all time favorite switches - especially on the M65- B . In contrast . Although the oil king's are way smoother and deeper - they feel kinda sterile compared to the creams . Taste in switches varies but for me - the NK creams after a year of breaking in are a perfect combination of clack and satisfying typing feel . NK creams are endgame switches for me .

really enjoyed the review (and got a real kick out of the miscellaneous b-roll)! It’s wild what’s available in stock these days vs. 3-4 years ago! I do wish that more of these premade boards would just stick to cherry profile keycaps (as I honestly think the folks that prefer non-cherry profile are in the minority at least on 60% and up boards), but at the price they’re offering caps/switches, it’s hard to complain. Also stoked to see more boards supporting multiple mounting options especially for the newcomers to the hobby who don’t already have too many boards to count!
