Suggestion: Tone/texture How to get a consistent tone/texture when the octave key is pressed. I have gotten a bit better at playing in the upper register from watching your videos. One thing I never hear saxophonists talk about is consistent tone/texture. When I press down the octave key the tone of the note is much smoother and loses the "grit" that my lower notes have. It's very smooth sounding. So it kinda sound like it's not the same instrument. Like I said earlier it has gotten much better, but it's still not quite there. Some of it has to do the amount of air pushed through the horn, embouchure/tongue placement etc. Is there something that I'm missing or can fine tune to get my higher notes to match the "texture" of my lower notes? Tips techniques. thanks

Great job. I will be working on learning this one to expand my ability to improvise. I wanted to ask you if you stayed with the Legere Signature reed or did you go with the American Cut reed after trying it out. Thank you

My favourites were the Meyer and Selmer mouthpieces, ironically I thought the Selmer sounded great on the jazz tune, had a centred and smooth tone. But to me the Meyer/Ackerman covered all the music styles best.

Don't know why, but your sound reminds me of the late great David Alto sax Sanborn. Love it

can you make that "missed note" sound on purpose? IDK, the texture of it feels real to me. Kinda like someone that is screaming but is also exhausted. Also...you recording this for a new album? (=

The simplest way to explain this stuff is by using music notation. You could probably save about 10 minutes of your explanation. IMHO the most interesting part is about articulating (not to use triplets).
