Dumbest restore job I've ever watched. What a waste of time.

Hi! My hubby and I noticed you keep New Glarus with your cat in the fridge. Are you from Wisconsin? We live in Janesville.

Doesn't seem like much of a restoration if original flashing and other imperfections are filed off. If they're part of the original thing, they should remain so.

Good restoration. The Japanning is not that difficult, just finding the correct ingredients and 'recipe'

The rubber boot can be hard to find, and the auto parts stores around me had no idea what I was talking about. It is called a Spicer 2-86-418 Rubber Boot for CV Driveshaft.

Why don't you use spicer greaseable center ball yoke? That would last much longer than this non grease one

Because the world doesn't have enough pointless chemical waste in it already... why waste resources on something that's perfectly functional, not unattractive, and can wear off and look crap over time?? Something tells you you watch this sort of work more than you do, or use, it...

The closest I have ever seen any restorer come to "My Mechanics". An excellent video, demonstrating craftmanship, engineering, welding, CAD, video and editing skills. My only suggestion is to invest in a mill for your lathe.

When I went shopping for a wheelbarrow they only had real big thick plastic ones. I was kinda bummed I was expecting to buy a metal one but bought it anyways. After watching this I’m glad I did! It’s working great obviously no rust! 😂

Never thought I would get emotional on a restoration video but here I am crying. The day I’m watching this video (April 18th) marks 13 years since my grandpa passed and seeing that potbelly stove show up on my recommended list brought back so many memories. Your video makes me wanna go see if I can buy my grandpa’s potbelly stove from the family that lives in the house where it’s at.
