I'm praying for you! ❤ You can be healed even though they lie and claim otherwise. Coming out and sharing your experience is insightful to me on areas I can be more understanding with people I know who have this diagnosis . I am grateful for your honesty.

Someone incapable of empathy expects empathy from others? That's rich. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll still have people lining up outside the door to have a one-sided relationship with you.

I know this old, but you can look for non-profit hospitals and clinics. Just call them ask if they're non-profit and do free or income-based therapy. Some states offer special medicaid for certain mental illnesses.

Honestly people love finding answers to their mental illness and once they do it becomes their personality. It defines them. And its okay. No.. its not. We are telling lies to ourselves, and i talk from experience and very dark and traumatic stuff that has had happened. And only recently I've started to get healed. Not because of world reports.. but GOD. All these mental illnesses are more spiritual than people think and doctors won't tell you that.. they need to make $$ right. Get delivered from your demons. You got this. God bless

At 2:04 , I agree its not okay to gaslight eachothers imperfections . thats not a part of healing . No one is perfect at the end of day , the important part is recognizing our issues and where went wrong and fixing it, its not easy , but can be done.

I think most people don't judge narcissists just for being that way, they do because of all the toxic and harmful behaviors they have with the people around them. You're right, you don't choose your trauma responses, but you choose what to do about it, and unfortunately, some people choose to hurt others. I'm not saying that's you, and actually, you seem to be in a very wholesome self healing journey.

I think plenty use their disorder as an excuse. They act as if they have no free will if it means taking responsibility.

The problem with this approach is it's very eye for an eye BS and that is abusive. So here we are as a society computing abuse upon abuse upon abuse. There's a reason I had a joke that was my go to "I'm offended that you're offended that I'm offended that you're offended..." Because that was basically how I was raised with the adults taking offense to the child for being extremely sensitive. That meant I always have felt everything intensely be it good or bad. In a healthy family and a healthy society that would have been considered as being gifted and I would have been mentored so that I could actually be an asset to society. It's actually quite sad how our society essentially has domesticated and has broken people and removed them from their natural gifts.

I don't think people are hating narcissists just to hate them. Yes, once we find out narcissists had rough upbringings we tend to have sympathy. But majority of people don't know that. They are mostly hurt by how narcissists treat them. I think we all respect narcissists or those with personality disorders who admit they have something wrong and seek to improve. That's commendable and shows you have strong insight. People are just hurt by narcissists and feel the need to talk badly about them. It's not necessarily right but like you said people do not choose their trauma responses and narcissists can very well instill trauma in people. That's just how they respond to trauma. By talking about narcissists badly.

You aren’t being judged for that, you’re being judged when you “respond” by being abusive. It doesn’t matter what you have. Nobody is obligated to negate their own personal experiences with people with PDs just because of your shitty childhood. I don’t think you have yet begun to really take the onus for your own shit, how do you not understand, if it isn’t your fault for your trauma response, it isn’t our fault that we don’t want to be abused by you and we are also responding to said trauma you are CURRENTLY inflicting. Work on yourself, quit worrying about how abuse survivors are responding to being abused, we already do enough emotional labor for you guys to last lifetimes. I have developed shitty trauma responses to childhood abuse too and I’m not sitting here trying to convince people that I’m a good person and shouldn’t be judged for my shitty responses because of my disorders. I work on my responses because it really doesn’t matter where it comes from when you’re actively harming somebody else. It isn’t some unknown fact that this crap usually comes from childhood neglect. Other people already have their own shit to deal with, get your hand holding from the professionals if you need it.

People also do not choose what is trauma to/for them. What one person can grow up with and have no problems from can cause life-long effects to another person.

I don't judge anyone for their trauma response, I judge adults for how they choose to behave towards others, today. It's not about me feeling superior, but about me seeing people who live life unaware of how their behaviour affects others as living from a low level of humanity, regardless of their personality disorders.

I have BPD, and I used to hate on narcissists & sociopaths because I didn't know better. The rabit holes I went down were filled with the victimhood movement energy. I have been hurt by people with narcissism & sociopathy, but I have hurt them too. I agree 100% with what you are saying about judgment. Most, if not all, people have been guilty of judgment due to a lack of understanding. The message I push is: THERE CAN BE NO EMPATHY WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING. A psychopath wrote that! Athena Walker. So funny what you said about BPD being the worst disorder, and yet we judge sociopaths when being one would probably feel better. I have jokes about this. 😂 Most people with BPD slip into an anti-social self state when stressed. I have. It feels aweful when I come out of it because of all of the damage I cause whilst in it. And, I am not able to feel badly about what I did when I was in that state. So, I can kind of relate. I like your content the most. You're in a same-sex relationship with no shame nor fear of judgment, you're talking about healing in a realistic way, you have a quirky sense of humor, and I actually love sociopaths now. My first love was a sociopath & I learned so much from her. I don't regret any of it. Thank you for your bravery. ❤

Wow. Love every word of it. So true. A lot of people are hurt by narcissists so it's easier for them to hate. Thanks so much for speaking up for yourself, I have a BPD dx (in functional recovery, yay!) and know a thing that you might find interesting-- during my DBT skills training when I was learning about how I got to be the way I am, my skills trainer told me I was the opposite of a sociopath because that was supposed to make me feel good about myself, and thought it was a quirk of my extreme empathy that I objected to this framing. I'm sure I'm not the only DBT participant who was told this. I ended up needing to just agree to disagree and move on, because she was the professional. I haven't been brave enough to be out in my day-to-day life-- coming out to the people I'm close to has created enough problems for me. I'm really glad you're speaking up for yourself, your humanity and people like us.

I think the best if everything you just said is that it applies to EVERYTHING! Being born in poverty, rich, gay, black, Asian, western, autistic, cross eyed, colourblind, left or right handed, tall, short, prone to weight gain/loss, prone to develop disorders, straight haired, curly haired, blue eyed, brown eyed, male/female, indigenous, good in maths, language, instruments, prone to addictions, etc, etc, etc! No one chooses NONE of it and NONE of it makes one better/worse than others... just DIFFERENT! Think different! Love all! It could've been you in a slight change of circumstances before and after you were conceived! Let's be more tolerant because the ONE THING that is PRECISELY the SAME FOR EVERYONE IS: IT'S NOT FUCKING EASY!!! Stop judging others journeys... stop over and underestimating others... only THEY can tell you how it is, and applaud their personal victories in their personal battles! That's empathy! Support them! That's kindness! And help if you can! That's love! Delta, it's a thrill to watch you discovering, understanding and applying yourself into being a better person for you! I enjoy the consequences of it... one more person optimistic, happy and consequently making the world a better place for everyone else! I appreciate and applaud your efforts! I can barely imagine what it is that you go through every day! Well done! 👏🏻👏🏻
