Imagine a production of Rent with Kirstin as Joanne, Mitch as Angel, Scott as Roger, and Matt as Collins. I don't know who else would be in the cast, but that's a great start. Heck, have Kevin provide all the percussion.

What were we on in the 70s to imagine these awesome jams & bring them to life.?. we had more freedom to explore our imaginations & then comes the relentless practicing, which is where todays yutes come up short... and the hootch we had was criminally weak compared with the new crops, giddyup Behind the curve & keep on rockin

12:29 aside from The Picture of Dorian Gray as other have mentioned, you ask “was Oscar Wilde that vain?” yes. Also, his final words on his deathbed were famously: “Either those curtains go, or I do”

2:46 that is the only known photograph of Emily Dickinson. She was unknown in her time and pretty much a recluse. After she died, her sister got her work published - that’s why no one at the party pays any attention to her, including the cameraman (most of the time she’s on screen you only see part of her face) it’s a great, subtle running joke. Sean & Sinead are absolutely brilliant writers.

This show is so much better than almost everything on tv. If you know nothing about any of these authors the show is really good, but the more you know about them the better it gets. Heck, just read the Wikipedia entry for each author after the first episode of this and you’ll get more of the jokes going forward. Plus you’ll learn something. Win-win.

During this stage of their development ELO used a full orchestra and chorus in all their recordings. The musical direction and string arrangements were done by Louis Clarke and all songs were written by Jeff Lynne who is also the leader and lead vocalist of the band.

I was actually in middle school when this first came out and every week a new episode came out I watched it as it came out. I am now in my early 20s and love musicals. Have since before SU actually. One of my favorite musicals is the movie Sweeney Todd which I recommend if you haven't seen it yet.

Just found your channel cuz i was looking up six the musical videos and yours was suggested and i love the clip that you used cuz ive never gotten a chance to see the broadway version live but my god tho...like Katherine...her story...it..hits..hard...because if you look at the modern day and age sure...women arent being beheaded but the feeling and despire and just the pain and anguish and shame that katherine was made to feel through no fault of her own mirrors today's day and age but its worse...its much much worse...but thank you for taking the time to give your insight to her story and it really gave a much bigger picture especially from the view point of someone who isnt female so i truely appreciate it....your videos are awesome and amazing and i hope that you got the chance to see the musical live.<3

I know this is an old video, but I just found your channel yesterday, so here you go: Speaking of Aaron Tveit and baseball, have you seen the movie Undrafted? It’s written and directed by the actor who played Tim in Jurassic Park, it’s about his brother missing out on the baseball draft, and his brother is played by Aaron.

A fun fact I feel that people should know is about the music itself; throughout the entire film, all the music was made by one man in particular, Alan Menken, who made basically any Disney film you've ever seen (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Tangled, and even non-Disney things such as Little Shop of Horrors, Newsies, everything down to the sound effects in Home Alone). For this movie, in particular, he used Latin, which all of the Angels/Spirits are chanting. When Frollo says, "It's not my fault," they reply, "Mea Culpa," which translates to my fault. When Frollo says, "God have mercy on me," they reply, "Kyrie eleison," which translates to Lord Have Mercy. Though the original story, he has more compassion which is shown both in the French translation and stage play, instead of insisting it isn't his fault he pleads and asks the saints "Is it my fault?!"

Hey new to your channel. There are a few non disney animated films that never get the same kind of love that diney does, but they are fabulous! -The Princess and the pea(2002), "Kingdom of the heart" or "The Perfect Princess" or "The Wide Open World" The Swan Princess: "This is my Idea" or "Far Longer Then Forever" or "Princess on Parade" or "No more, Mr. Nice Guy" Thumbelina: "Soon" or "Let Me Be Your Wings" or On the Road" or "Follow Your Heart" or "Yer Beautiful, Baby" or "Marry the Mole" Anastasia: "Once Upon a December" or "Journey to the past" or "Learn to do it" or "In the Dark Of the Night" or "A Rumor In St. Petersburg" Odd one out, but one of the most impactful musical numbers makes me cry every time: The Prince of Egypt "Deliver Us(opening song)" or second pretty good one is "When you Believe" Any kind of review on any of these would be great, and no, they are not as rap or hip-hop as some of the other ones. Thanks!!

The song is about USA sinking in operations - they do not have time to stop and think about the concept as the basis of operations. USA is just an instrument for global predictor (conceptually powerful subject of global politics) to run Pax Americana. Just have a look at the state flag of USA. And now RIP Pax Americana. Welcome BRICS.

Patrick Wilson, who opened Julie's musical tribute (On The Street Where You Live) was the lead in the 2002 revival of Oklahoma. He was also the lead in the Broadway musical adaptation of the UK film The Full Monty. He has been primarily working in films during the last few years. I would love to see him tackle another musical again.

Funny how such a HOLY and RIGHTEOUS man would be calling on Saints and God to "curse" another human. He couldn't let go of his own demons so projected them on to others. Such a great villan. No need for a redemption arch.

Hey out of curiosity, would you be willing to do a reaction to a song from a musical in a language other than English (provided the video had English subtitles)? Just asking because there's one or two things I know that I think it'd be fun to see you react to but they aren't in English
