how often should one clean the exhaust tips? I did see a video where you could use The Pink Stuff all purpose cleaner. Can you really use Bar Keepers Friend too???

They look nice, but honestly after the Brexit who wants to carry your flag around Europe… 👎 And then I must say for the huge size of rear lights the lit area for blinkers and especially brakelight seems a tad too small for my taste.

So all you are focusing on is the noise…. ?! That’s weird to me. It’s oiled - how often do you clean it ? How do you clean it ? And what oil is used to oil it after cleaning it ? How much for the filter ? And the cleaning reoiling kit ?

Why didn't you spray them yourself. I will be doing something similar but I will also spray the clear plastic with a couple of coatings with tint spray but not making them to dark. Bob

Thanks for the great video. I have connected my Carplay box to my 2014 Mini Cooper S and everything works fine except for the DAB Radio. When I come out of Carplay and press any of the DAB buttons I get No Signal on the screen. If I press the button for the local DAB station that works as long as it is away from buildings. If I remove the Carplay box then all the DAB staions work fine. I have had the box replaced but no difference. Do you have any idea what could be wrong and does your DAB work OK. Sorry for the long message

Their prices are insane. They want me to pay 100€ for a stick on grill cover when I can buy a OEM replacement Grill from BMW for 50€. Even if you'd buy it off of ebay you'd only pay between 55-80€. No thanks!

Hey, thanks for the video, I was able to install mine incredibly quickly because of the help of your video. Quick question, did you find the audio quality for music to be better when using the USB input? (assuming you've attached that wire). I'm just trying to work out if audio quality is better via usb or the wifi option, and, if it is altogether better via either usb/bluetooth using the original IDrive system. I'm probably just imagining it, and I have changed the EQ which seemed to help, but I just don't know if music is *as* good quality as it was before. Would be interesting to hear what you've found.

Hi m8, looks good. As a fellow mini owner I think the s without chrome looks far better than the s 'with chrome'. Ps on a previous mini I covered the front strip with tape only, it's fairly easy, I'm currently in the process of dechroming my current f55.

Hi Jamie, I’ve fitted the same strip and I can see a tiny bit of chrome if you look from above too so I think it’s just the fitment. All in all I’m impressed though.

Paying so much for black covers and it still is showing some chrome is dissapointing for me. Either it is done perfect or just leave it. My opinion though. Cant deal with these details that are partly done.

Did someone have the problem that carplay box went to black screen? I've installed this box a month ago and everything worked fine, until one day it stopped working and went to a black screen when I'm entering the carplay box menu (Press home button for 3 sec). At the same time idrive system works perfectly fine.

What next?
