if you are a nerd of a certain age, you would've know this almost by heart and would recite lines and replies as a form of shibboleth to identify other nerds. … unless you were a beatle, then you would just pay them to make another movie, "Jesus Christ; Lust for Glory"

A lot of the jokes such as using coconuts for horses and the abrupt ending were a result of not having much funding, this was (I believe) the first film that Monty Python had made, and they kinda had to make do with what very little

33:45 When you say "how do you not notice when things are that bad around you"... That's the thing, though. Even before the zombies look at the state of his life and his relationship and his flat. He hadn't noticed how bad any of that was either because he was just not paying attention to anything around him.

Rook’s Rest is right next to Dragonstone across the water. The castle is a small outpost that gives Dragonstone access to the mainland area of the Crownlands. Thats why the Greens were going after Rook’s Rest over Harrenhal, even though it’s just a minor castle. Having the mainland blocked would leave the Blacks with no chance but to send a dragon. And that is what exactly happened.

why is the hypocrite(if that, imo no if we look closely , but certainly evil, though ordinary evil ) cole, more hated than child killer ( and far worse evil doer in everything ) deamon? totally superficial irrational emotion, nothing more. "shut up" is the typical response when facts and reason are pointed out. have a feeling shownrunners and/or grr martin are mocking the audience ( knowing modern western norms that make them so superficial irrational emotion driven , and aversion to facts and reason, especially in usa. ) in a sneaky way with that .

Everybody always wonderers why his owner frees Conan. The reason is simple the guy isn't stupid and he realized if he didn't free him someday Conan would kill him to be free. So he set him free. Also the witch was bound by rules. Like summoning a demon. She had to give him the information because he had paid her price.

The old bloke left when they are chasing Brian is the late great Spike Milligan of Goon Show fame. He just happened to be in the place they were filming in Northern Africa and they asked him to have a cameo appearance. He had a great time but always maintained that they did not pay him! Mike in Oz

A big early TV star was Sid Caesar, (who played the main caveman) and Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner were 2 of the writers on his show. They later became a comedy duo. Reiner (father of director Rob Reiner) based the Dick Van Dyke TV show on being in that writing room.

Joe's AI companion was creepy to me because it's just a hologram that will never be anything more than that. And we got a great understanding of just how creepy it is because when Joe saw the advertisement again which first got him to purchase her image some time ago, proved she's nothing more than a product from one of Wallace's corporations to make money from lonely people who resort to such lengths to find some form of loving relationship. She was no more special than the next reiteration of herself owned by another lonely customer. Whereas, a replicant is still a human, created by other humans, which are still not completely controllable and who want their own freedom from their slavery.

Once again you try to get reason and logic mixed with comedy. The first rule of comedy is there are no rules so having your former loved ones in games shows fits the comedy being implied.

I was so hyped to see dragons in battle but wow was I underestimating the horror of it. Absolutely brutal. Impressively brutal really-- amazing direction and effects. I was wrecked by Rhaenys' and Meleys' death 😓 Aemond definitely killed Aegon but everything he did can be justified: he didn't interfere with the king's charge and then he attacked Meleys and couldn't help hitting Sunfyre too. So clever.

At 27:40 Brian is introduced to a man with a red headdress. The man playing that character is, certainly at the time, was one of the most famous and accomplished people in the world whose music is revered 54 years after leaving the band he was in. A true legend.

In Tunisia, 1976-77 was filmed an epic biblical film for TV, Jesus of Nazareth. When the Python's were planning this film, it was arranged that "Nazareth" would live behind costumes and props, and "Brian would take over locations too. This Python film was on a smaller budget, as the idea and message was controversial - studios did not want to fund this movie! The Python's had celebrity fans in the U.K., like Rock musicians who helped fund "Holy Grail" This script, was handed to George Harrison (former Catholic/Hindu adapt') Harrison put up a few million dollars, and established a film production group, Handmade films, which made a number of notable films until the 90's. The former Beatle appears, after the "morning window show" as a Greek, who just says "Hello". Between Nazareth, and Brian, filmed in Tunisia was the original's Star Wars,....out in the open desert, not in this old city. It has been reported by some actors that the productions met a time or two.

It was great to see someone react to this and truly get the humour. I’ve seen many reactors not laugh of be confused. While filming John Cleese stayed in a cheap hotel run by an ex British army drill Sargent who treated the guests like underlings. He found it so amusing he created a comedy called Fawlty Towers. It’s only 2 seasons and 12 episodes but some of the funniest comedy ever written The woman who played the witch and the head girl in the castle of girls was his wife. She played the maid in Fawlty Towers. And they got divorced between seasons 1 and 2
