Hi Dimitri I also aquired a nice Weiler LZ 280 but I'm having a hard time figuring out the collet type the spindle bore takes. Are there type markings to be found on your collet set? Best regards Yves

I just bought the same vise, the Leinen E150 specs say it weighs 53kg, but my F150 didn’t feel as if it is 53kg, because I know I am not that strong to lift 53kg and carry up a flight of stairs to my 1st floor apartment😅 How heavy is yours?

How did you know that it was the LVs that was broken and not a fuse or something like that?
@DmitriIvanov4 ай бұрын
The cluster itself was working, only the backlighting was partially not working. A broken fuse would take out the entire cluster. Also a fuse is only a symptom not the actual problem, a fuse only blows when a current higher than it's rated capacity flows through it, meaning something down the line had an issue (likely a short). Anyways, that's not relevant in this case.

@@DmitriIvanov ok, because I have the same problem. So then the only solution for this problem is doing as you do in the video?

This is helpful. Any tips for a pre-made shelf? I bought some Ikea shelving cubes and our wall is wonky AF ... I am debating mounting on plywood and carving the plywood as needed.

Hi, I have a question, you can definitely help me! Is it possible to replace the disk chassis from one counter to another? without the electronic part, simply the white plate + the discs + the needles.

in fact, I would like to know if by removing the white plate, I can replace it (without removing the discs and the needles) on another meter

Just completed. Some came away easy but some were a pain but got there eventually. One smd was flickering so re soldered and working well now. There twice as bright as originals but easly solved. Just turn the dimmer down. Thanks Dmitri

FWIW when I learned to cast with wax forms we applied a spray on surfactant to the form before investment to reduce the chance of bubbles adhering to the wax. Many investments these days have a built-in surfactant but maybe a separate one would help with the investment you are using and or not a "full" 29.xx" of vacuum. Searching for the surfactant, it is usually called a "debubblizer" which I don't think is an actual English word :)

Is it a good idea to degass before pouring plaster and then again in the cast in case the cast has bubble traps?

So I have two LEDs on my Q7 that are flickering at the same time one section 4 'O clock on the tachometer and one 7 O'clock on the speedometer. Seems to me if the LED was the problem then they wouldn't flicker together. Is anyone aware of some other component that needs to be replaced?

My 2010 A5 sometimes lickers on the Revcounter at 5 and 6, really odd as LED's normally work or they dont and not sure if theres just one LED there that could be faulty. Anyway I might change them if it bugs me enough while driving at night.

No issues with assembly for me kzfaq.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L but I could see where some might benefit from using an experienced bike assembler/mechanic. I'm an older rider starting back after a 10 year break. This bike exceeds my capabilities and has been easy to get comfortable riding. I'm mostly on easy trails with almost no street riding and have not been disappointed with the performance of the bike. My fitness level is far below what I previously rode with and because of that the mileage is going on the bike slowly. While I'm losing weight slowly, the bike seems to tolerate my 220 pounds just fine. The bike has been used by several family members ranging from 5'5" - 5'9".

Not showing how he unscrewed the chuck body (which can be a real bitch) leaves a big gap in this procedure. And to go to all that work and NOT replace the obviously munched up jaws showed that this guy took some BIG shortcuts. They sell kits to rebuild these nice chucks and why he went to all that trouble and not do that is beyond me. Would be nice to mount an arbor and then check runout with an indicator too. This was like “rebuilding” an engine……by just changing the spark plugs and power washing the motor!

Nice technique. But surely it only works on only little uneven walls. If you get a wall that is very uneven, and vertically too, you would have to do this from both sides at once. (up and down)
@BeHappyTo11 ай бұрын
Well.. Ive thought about this and you only need to mark it from the top, and then cut the wood at an angle, such that only top touches the wall. Buuuut this wont be pretty from the bottom

Very good work. I won’t say anything about your hand drilling though. Been there too many times. It would have been nice if you had given more explanations about the various steps. What 3D printer do you use? I noticed Formlabs on the screen but wasn’t sure if that was the printing material or printed. Formlabs has some investment casting PLA from what I hear. Expensive equipment though. Thanks, Paul

one question, is there a reason not to use the reverse gear in your lathe? I am just trying to figure out how to wire mine machine with vfd. I just bought it, never had one before and I have no 3 phase connection.
@DmitriIvanov Жыл бұрын
I do use it in my machine but never to turn things, just to back out threads after tapping or to finish things by hand. My chuck is a screw type with a left hand thread, means there is a chance you unthread the chuck if you load it in reverse.
