VFD (variable frequency drive) Teardown and Diagnosis Part 1 || Altivar 11 Telemecanique

Күн бұрынIn this video I tear open this broken Telemecanique VFD (variable frequency drive) and have a look at the circuit and reverse engineer it, I also take a look at the construction and compare it with the cheap Chinese VFD I had a look at earlier in 2020. Towards the end I explain my process of how to diagnose the issues with the VFD and figure out why its not working. Unfortunately the actual repair will have to wait until the next video because this one already got way too long.

Most of the time, resistors fail open or towards open, so their resistance goes higher than their value. So you can measure them in-circuit, whatever is in parallel with them, the equivalent resistance is going to be lower than the resistor's original value.. Of course, there is a little little chance they will fail short or towards short, but I have never seen such thing for 10 years in my career

@@DmitriIvanov the vfd screen won't come on and there is voltage going to it. It is the same model on your video
