Hello! Not using Newton's F = ma, allow me ask: 1 - Where does the { Action = Integral (K - U)dt} come from? 2 - Where does the {Lagrangian (K - U)} come from? 3 - Can I deduce that I must minimize the Action integral equation from minimizing the potential energy U? 4 - Can you elaborate? Thanks!👋

@3:00 when did the derivitive of the square become the square of the derivative? What you are claiming is d/dt (x^2) = (dx/dt)^2 really? I thought its 2x dx/dt, by the composite function therom. So you are saying 2x dx/dt = (dx/dt)^2 for all functions? REALLY?!!!

Okay ... The IC point I give you. But how do you know what the end point is apriori? Newton only requires IC. In contrast this is a BVP and so requires more knowlege apriori to tell you the evolving physics.

S, i believe, because historically this intergral was associated with length (ds) and that was denoted as ds, integrated S. And the idea of shortest path comes from Hygen's principle that light travels shortest distance. But its also L or H.

But you can get from the time independent from the time dependent using separation of variables in some cases, there is relationship here...

Thanks for uploading. Studying Microeconomics I, I needed to know dhis, however my curriculum did not include multivariable calculus, which is not only stupid cramming, but also sad as I love math as well

It must be called the principle of least energy because action is a force. can we arrive at this principle starting from the forces applied instead of the energies?

why is there no square around the brackets in T1 = m/2 (x1-dot-square - y1-dot-square) ? Isn't this velocity that need to be squared because it's m/2 v^2 ?

Make you feel so good about the derivation of Taylor expansion. The integration method makes perfect sense than the approximation method from a constant then a straight line and parabala etc. Beats all other clips on the topic. Thank you so much.

Nice intuition, but the fact that A has to have units of v^2 still doesn't say that it's just v^2 and not some proportionality constant times v^2.

By reflecting away 30% of the incoming solar energy the albedo makes the Earth cooler than it would be without the atmosphere much like that reflective panel behind a car’s windshield. The non-radiative heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmospheric molecules render “extra” energy upwelling from the surface radiating as a LWIR black body impossible. For example, the 396 W/m^2 upwelling from the surface is a “What if?” theoretical calculation without physical reality. (refer to: TFK_bams09) Without the 396 W/m^2 upwelling there is no 333 W/m^2 GHG energy up/down/”back” LWIR greenhouse gas loop to not “warm” the terrestrial surface. The greenhouse theory and man caused climate change are negated by any one of these three points. Hysterical speculations over sea levels, ice caps, glaciers, extreme weather, etc. are irrelevant noise. Zero greenhouse effect, Zero CO2 global warming and Zero man caused climate change.
