Complainers. Sorry to say , typical Americans. In the summer , Tunisians love to be outdoors, moreso on the weekends, frequenting restaurants, cafes, ice cream stores, etc. Also this time of the year, in the summer school holidays, hundreds of Tunisian diaspora from across Europe, come over by ferry with their cars. It's very, very busy in the summer.

Many people are shocked how cheaply and comfortably you can live here in Thailand on small amounts Now add a healthcare and dentalcare that is ranked no. 5 in the world (usa is ranked 15 )and is extremely cheap, so cheap that you don't even have to take out the insurance for doctor's visits or simpler things, just pay cash.(insurance is cheap to compared to the us ) I have friends who actually SURVIVE very good on $500 and friends who burn +$10,000 a month in luxury and partying here in Bangkok so it's all up to you and what suits you. As usual, it will of course be cheaper the longer you live here and how much you adapt with language, food, culture and similar things - don't try to live like a westerner in se-asia..adapt

There's a reason they call vacationers to Thailand "two week millionaires"! It is astounding how far a few dollars will go. You can get a huge hotel room with all the amenities for $50 a night, all the food you could want for $7-$10 a day.

if u go for a hotel just a bit from the absolute tourist areas u get a super good room for 20$ night or even less. If a pool gym and breakfast and being right smack in the tourist areas isn't a thing that u use. Remember that 2-3 stars here in Thailand is like 4 stars in the west. Seen even simple roadside motels and 1 star guesthouses that cost 10$ a night being cleaner and nicer than many hotels in west when i been driving around in Thailand

hey Sekki! Thanks for watching. I hope you've watched the other Tunisia videos too. We managed to see quite a lot! The language barrier was a little tricky sometimes for sure, and the incessant vendors in some places were quite annoying too. Lots of smoking indoors, and as a foreign woman, my friend was constantly harassed when she walked alone on the street. Those were some low points!

Doggie doodoo (and chewing gum on sidewalks/pavements) was a problem for me when I first arrived in Manhattan. I didn't have much of this problem when I was living on a government-housing estate in Kowloon, Hong Kong. People didn't keep dogs in the highly urbanized neighborhood. My birthplace was a bit different. My first photograph as a toddler was taken with the neighborhood dog. It was nobody's and everybody's dog. It has to poop somewhere which I didn't know about.

555 most expats that lived long time in Thailand, go for "holiday" in more rural areas under Songkran, chasing the traditional Songkran newyear where ppl just pour water over ur hands and place some babypuder on ur cheeks and pretty quiet celebrate the newyear.. My place to go is outside Phetchabun town in central thailand or Vietnam ..where they dont celebrate Songkran same way=) Ok some happy kids with waterguns are common even in the country side but not the total city tourist mayhem =)

its pretty concerning about the plastic but hey are getting better now, worst time was before 2017 ill think when i did get more plasticbags and things than food manytimes. First time i was in Thailand in 1994 as a green 18yr backpacker most food was served in bananaleefs, paperplates , waxed paper and paperbags, Thailand was really a poor 3 world country's backthen and very different. After working +15 years in Bangkok, 200-300 baht is what i eat for a normal day incl 3-4 meals fruit smoothies fresh fruit water coffee etc living like a local is really cheap =)

most of my friends living permanently up in Chang Mai leave the city under the horrible burning season where u often cant se 20 steps in front of u because of the smog and smoke. and as a bonus and the hoards of chinese and korean tourists are on the rise again creating more traffic and smoke and trash and make prices high..3-4 times normal price in many cases Even air here in Bangkok is better that period.. But it is sure beautiful city...
