The 'just tough it out, keep going, and you will succeed' brainwashing of sports people by generations is definitely one of the core reasons why there have been so many serious and even fatal injuries, ending thousands of careers and lives every year. My ballerina friend now can't dance, because of micro-fractures in her hips that she got from practicing way, way too much. Another bright career snuffed out due to misguided belief.

HL! I 100% understand what you mean and I most definitely agree! My matcha-making in the morning is my favorite part of my morning routine. It is peaceful and I wouldn't want it interrupted by an electric whisk and an ugly bowl haha 😁

I am getting my own HDB home soon so excited to slowly get things that sparked joy! The one thing that stands out now is those ceramic bowls and plates from Japan which looked really nice! While they could be more expensive than your normal ones, they were similar to expressions of our personality and will add colour to the house. Similar to adding a painting portrait on the wall. Anyways, always excited to see another video from you guys. It has a calming and cute vibes this time round, which I am totally digging into it!!!😄

Just a quick video talking about “things” - a few recent additions to our home that have sparked joy. What’s something that has brought you joy lately? More videos to come about barefoot shoes, floor sitting, and more, so stay tuned!

Something I purchased that has sparked joy is a tiny wicker bag that I hang from a hook over my work desk. I put small notebooks and chargers in it so my desk top stays uncluttered, and it has helped me diversify the reach of my chargers' cords too.

Sri Lankans share some of these traits as well. How we address our elders, in-laws and no shoes in home but definitely not to this extend when it comes to cleanliness. But like you described some of these things slowly change with newer generations as they become exposed to western culture more and more. This is definitely a subjective choice to each individual, so personally i have no complains. Also, I'm really happy that i found this channel at the time when I'm thinking about building a home. I love minimalism. Lesser attachments to material objects surely improved my life. -Love from Sri Lanka.

Re-watching our favorite classic shows together and experiencing the nostalgia is one of our favorite things to do, occasionally. Recently we’ve been on a roll with our “childhood” animes - including the first one we ever watched together, Slam Dunk. Funnily, every re-watch feels like HL’s first time as she barely remembers anything, so she laughed and cried along… again. Slam Dunk was as good as we remembered it. The 2022 film made it even better. Highly recommended! Tell us, what’s something that really gives you a sense of NOSTALGIA? Maybe we’ll be able to guess your age 😉
